Sakurai doesn’t think modern Kid Icarus: Uprising port would be possible

Masahiro Sakurai is so closely associated with the Smash Bros. series that it can sometimes be easy to forget about his other projects. But back in 2012, he managed to successfully bring back the Kid Icarus series with Kid Icarus: Uprising on 3DS.
Kid Icarus: Uprising earned a great deal of praise, though some players were a bit frustrated by the controls. That’s one of the reasons why fans have been interested in seeing it ported to a new system – like Switch perhaps? However, in a recent interview, Sakurai shot down the idea.

Fire Emblem Heroes revenue dips to $13.8 million in November, at $465 million for worldwide total

As reported by Sensor Tower, Fire Emblem Heroes has typically seen an average of $21 million in player spending since its February 2017 launch. However, in November, that figure dropped to $13.8 million. That’s 66% of its monthly average and a decrease of approximately 19% year-over-year.
Dragalia Lost earned more than Fire Emblem Heroes in September, which wasn’t entirely surprising given the new launch. This continued into November though, with Cygames’ title generating $16.3 million – about 18% more than Fire Emblem. One point to consider is that Dragalia Lost is available in five territories whereas Fire Emblem Heroes is out in 43.
Japan once again led the way with player spending in Fire Emblem Heroes at 60%. The United States followed at 28%. Fire Emblem Heroes ranked #62 by revenue globally, coming in at #29 in Japan and #66 in the U.S. The mobile game has grossed an estimated $465 million worldwide.

Donut County announced for Switch, out this month

Majesco Entertainment announces Coba: Tale of the Moon for Switch, plans for “full media franchise”

Majesco Entertainment has announced a return to gaming in a big way. The company has revealed Coba: Tale of the Moon, a new action RPG currently in development for Switch.
Coba may expand beyond just a single game. There are plans to create “a full media franchise, with potential for an animated series for traditional television and/or streaming platforms, home video, theatrical release(s), merchandise sales and/or augmented reality programming.”
Warframe surpasses one million downloads on Switch

Warframe has reached a new milestone on Switch. The game has been downloaded over one million times, Digital Extremes has announced.
Warframe came to Switch as a digital download on November 20. It can be found via the eShop and is free-to-play.
