Ninja Pizza Girl nearing release on Wii U
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 2 Comments
Ninja Pizza Girl was last thought to be Wii U-bound in January. That obviously didn’t happen, but a Kickstarter update from Disparity Games indicates that the eShop version is coming very soon.
Development on the Wii U version is said to be “very, very, very close to done but it still needs two more days of work before it’s ready to send to Nintendo.” Ninja Pizza Girl is still at least a month out, though it won’t be too much longer now.
Here’s the full update from Disparity:
Hello WiiU people! Brace yourselves for FULL DISCLOSURE as we peek behind the curtain of game development. We have a working WiiU build. It’s great! It supports the pro controller, the wiimote (my favourite controller to play NPG on, it’s lovely and old-school and just feels great), the gamepad and it allows for easy swapping between the TV and gamepad screen. It’s very, very, very close to done but it still needs two more days of work before it’s ready to send to Nintendo. The first chance we have to work on it for two days is this Saturday so we hope to be sending Ninja Pizza Girl to the wizards at Nintendo on Sunday. It then has to be rigorously checked by Nintendo, approved, and much, much paperwork filled in. I think Pikachu has to personally sign off on everything, I’m not too sure what goes on there really. When that’s all done we’ll have an official release date and can finally fill your lives with warm, wonderful Ninja Pizza Girl goodness. We can’t say for sure how long this process will take but based on our experience with other platforms our best guess is about 30 days. Starting from Saturday we’ll give you updates for each step of this process so you can see exactly what’s happening and share the last trek of this very long road with us.

Etrian Odyssey V DLC announced
Posted on 9 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, News | 2 Comments
The next entry in the Etrian Odyssey series will be released in Japan next month, on August 4th – ahead of its release, Atlus already revealed some of their DLC plans for Etrian Odyssey V via the latest issue of Famitsu (thanks to Gematsu for the translation). Here’s what you’ll be able to buy starting August 4th (each individual piece of DLC costs 300 yen):
- New Adventurer 1 – makes your character look like a boy wearing a school uniform
- New Adventurer 2 – makes your character look like a girl wearing a sailor-style school uniform
- New Adventurer 3 – makes your character look like a girl wearing a sweater
- New Adventurer 4 – makes your character look like a Paladin from Etrian Odyssey I
- New Adventurer 5 – makes your character look like a Medic from Etrian Odyssey I
- Adventurer Training Plan – gives you access to a quest that makes it easier to level your characters
- Adventurer Good Luck Plan – gives you access to a quest that gives you lots of gold as a reward
Two more pieces of DLC are also currently planned, but are not yet dated: “New Adventurer 6” (currently unknown how this will change your character’s appearance) and FM Synthesis (800 yen), which allows you to switch to FM Synthesis for the game’s background music and back at any time.
Etrian Odyssey V (along with its DLC, obviously) has not yet been announced for a Western release, though given that every previous title in the series has made it out of Japan, that announcement should only be a matter of time.

Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 7 Comments
Some new information about Nintendo and Universal Studios Japan’s partnership emerged earlier tonight from the newest issue of Mainichi Shinbun. Now we have even more details from Sankei Shinbun.
It’s noted in the newspaper that Harry Potter area at Universal Studios Japan needed $400 million. For the Nintendo section, costs could exceed $500 million.
Other than that, multiple attractions/restaurants/stores are being jointly developed between Nintendo and Universal Studios Japan. The Nintendo area may also be “officially announced” to the public sometime before year’s end.
