Information coming out of this month’s CoroCoro reveals that an anime based on Puzzle & Dragons X is in the works. The series will begin airing this summer. Along with an anime, a manga adaptation from Momota Inoue is in the works, which will debut in CoroCoro’s May issue (shipping in April).

As far as the game goes, Puzzle & Dragons X will be available in Japan this summer. Two versions are planned: “Kami no Sh?” (God Chapter) and “Ry? no Sh?” (Dragon Chapter). Puzzle & Dragons X’s theme is “evolution” and will also feature cooperative play with friends in a cross battle. The game’s protagonist is Ace and his partner Tamaz?. Staff behind the anime will also animate the game’s opening anime.

DreamRift revealed Monster Tale Ultimate, a reworked version of the DS game for the 3DS eShop, towards the end of last March. Sadly, we’ve barely heard a peep about it since then. Yet despite the silence, Monster Tale Ultimate is still said to be in the works.

Nintendo Force has a brief update on Monster Tale Ultimate in its latest issue. According to the magazine, “the word from the devs is that the release is coming very soon”. A specific launch timeframe was not mentioned… but hey, we finally have some news at least!

When we reported on The Minotaur last month, Ratalaika Games confirmed the game for Wii U. However, that’s not the only Nintendo system the game is planned for. Ratalaika also plans on making a 3DS version.

The Minotaur launched on Steam in January. Wii U and Xbox One versions will follow in the coming months. As for 3DS, it will “still need a bit more time.”

Update 2 (1/12): Bumped to the top. Here are some related comments from GameXplain’s Derrick Bitner:

Update: Here’s the full stream archive for those that are interested in checking out more footage:

Original (2/10): For its overseas version, Fire Emblem Fates appears to have removed some swimsuits. GameSpot hosted a live stream of the English release earlier today which shows that only the Bath Towel can be purchased from the Accessory Shop in the body section. Meanwhile, the Japanese version featured several more such as the “Risque Swimsuit” (level 1 at the shop just like the Bath Towel).

This doesn’t seem to be a matter of GameSpot being early on in Fire Emblem Fates. Now, it’s true that we have seen footage of some characters in swimsuits via English gameplay, but that may have just been what was offered as the default option. We’ll still consider this a rumor for the time being until the situation is absolutely clarified.

Thanks to Brian for the tip.
