The Pokemon Company announced Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire earlier this week through a teaser trailer. Sadly, it didn’t show much – not even a single in-game shot.

On the bright side, it won’t be long at all before we see actual gameplay. Japanese children variety show Pokémon Get?TV is confirmed to be showing first footage from Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire this weekend.

The show will start on Sunday at 7:30 AM in Japan. That’s 6:30 PM ET / 3:30 PM PT on Saturday in the states. Of course, we’ll have the footage up on the site once it goes live.

In a recent interview with business website Sankei Biz, Hirokazu Hamamura has come out saying that Nintendo should not abandon their support for the Wii U. Hamamura explains:

The Wii U is in a slump, but has not yet reached the stage of giving up.

[Nintendo] has no choice but continuing to release popular software.

Hamamura is quite a notable figure in the Japanese game industry. He was editor in chief for Famitsu magazine for a number of years as well as the president of Enterbrain among other things.

It was confirmed by developer Fuzzy Wuzzy Games that Armillo has been delayed due to submission complications within the eShop. To make up for this, they are offering an introductory price of $5.99 in the first 3 weeks after launch and  anticipate that they will be able to make an announcement regarding a global release soon.

The full press statement read:

Good news, our game is finished and we’re extremely excited to release it as soon as possible!

However, with Armillo being our first Nintendo eShop game, the submission process is taking longer than we originally anticipated. What this means is that we’ll miss our anticipated release date of May 12th. While we hate to delay, we expect to be able to make a formal announcement of the global launch date in coordination with Nintendo very soon.

Your patience will not go unrewarded, though! We’re happy to announce that Armillo will launch at the introductory price of $5.99 for the first 3 weeks of release! After the first 3 weeks, the game will return to the standard $7.99 price that we originally planned. This is our way of thanking our early supporters for buying the game early, and our way of apologizing for all of the delays.

Another double today! Today we see the return of the Dragoon item from Kirby’s Air Ride. Sakurai explains:

Uniting three parts will complete the legendary Air Ride machine…the Dragoon! It’s back! But we didn’t just leave it the way it was, and added some nice touches to the design of the targeting screen. It is, of course, in stereoscopic 3D on the 3DS.

There was also a picture of the Dragoon itself:

Just the target screen felt lacking so here’s a pic of the Dragoon itself. I wanna get on it. I wanna get on and ride it.

Island Days has been pushed back in Japan again, though this delay is much smaller this time around. Players can expect the game out on July 3 as opposed to June 26. Launching the game a week later will allow Klon to carry out a little extra debugging.

Game Informer has put together a few graphs comparing Wii U and 3DS sales to Nintendo’s previous platforms. You can find them in the gallery above, and more information at the source link below.

Yesterday, we heard that Nintendo spent over $100 million on a mystery tech acquisition sometime during Q4. Analyst David Gibson now shares a tiny bit of extra information.

According to Gibson, the total amount spent by Nintendo is actually over $150 million. He additionally noted on Twitter that it’s not related to Tomita Tech. And the most important nugget: the acquisition was apparently for a non-Japanese, non-games company.
