Total shipments of the Hatsune Mike series have surpassed 2.5 million units in Japan as of July 2, SEGA announced today.

A total of eight games have been released thus far. On 3DS, SEGA published Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2.

SEGA is celebrating the Hatsune Miku news (not to mention the franchise’s fifth anniversary) with a special talk show. Niconico members can watch it here at 19:00 Japan time.

According to Nintendo, a demo for Tomodachi Life is due out tomorrow. This news only applies to North America for the time being, but it could hit Europe as well.

Tomorrow’s demo is similar to the Move In Version of Tomodachi Life. However, it has a play limit of 20 and the bonus Panda Suit is not accessible.
