Vblank Entertainment prepared a physical version of Retro City Rampage on the PlayStation 4 a few months ago. That was followed up with another announcement today of a physical version for the PlayStation Vita release. With the news, some fans wondering about the possibility of Nintendo versions getting the same treatment.

Sadly, there won’t be physical versions Retro City Rampage of either Wii or 3DS. Vblank’s Brian Proviciano explained why:

I looked into both Wii and 3DS when determining which platform(s) to do a physical version for as well. Unfortunately, the minimum print runs, cost per unit and other factors lead to me not doing them. They would’ve been super cool, but it all comes down to projected cost and estimated risk. For example, I put in the work to get approval for releasing it unrated so it could have a lower retail price. Cartridges (whether it’s 3DS or PS Vita) also cost much more than discs to produce, so that meant PS Vita still wound up being $5 more than the PS4 blu-ray version — but I take the steps I can to keep costs low.

Wii U added pre-loading functionality several months ago. Now, however, the same feature has been extended to 3DS.

3DS owners in Japan can begin pre-loading Code Name S.T.E.A.M. onto their system. You can buy the game and be prepared to play it once it launches on May 15.

Atlus’ latest trailer for Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker shows off the game’s Demon Auctions. Watch the video above, and check out an overview of the feature below.

If you haven’t put two and two together yet, Macca is the demonic currency in SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, and a vital resource for becoming the high bidder in Demon Auctions. The entire concept of being able to pick up deadly monsters from eBay-style auctions may terrify you, but trust me, you’ll be doing it a lot. See, unlike SMTIV or Persona Q, the only way to get new demons is by buying them or fusing them. And you can only fuse so many before you run out. But no problem, just crack open the demon auction app and get yourself a whole new complement of demons!

Each demon will come with ratings – the more stars the better stats and skills it comes with, meaning a strong ally for immediate use, or eventual fusion fodder down the road. There’s also special auctions for exceptional demons, but make sure that you have enough Macca on hand so you don’t get outbid by that jerk Carol J (or any other bidders).
