Serenity Forge and White Rabbit aren’t finished with Death’s Gambit: Afterlife, as new DLC for the game has been announced known as Ashes of Vados. It will land on Switch this spring.

Ashes of Vados comes with a brand-new boss encounter with a drastically different heroic boss variant that will conclude the final story thread of Death’s Gambit: Afterlife. It also includes “the ultimate platforming challenge level and a new Arena with both boss rush and horde mode.” Finally, there’ll be alternative game modifiers with modes such as randomized items, heroic forced and hardcore mode. Each one of these challenges contains their own set of rewards.

Young Souls physical

Young Souls hasn’t released on Switch yet, but we already have confirmation that a physical release is on the way. Limited Run Games will be handling distribution.

Like many of Limited Run’s offerings, there’ll be a standard version and a collector’s edition. The latter one includes a keychain, double-sided poster, and CD soundtrack in a collector’s box.

About an Elf

Meringue Interactive has announced About an Elf, a point-and-click fantasy / adventure RPG for Switch. Look for it on February 10, 2022.

About an Elf has players navigating through a fantasy world as the titular elf, Princess Dam. The game involves searching for Elftopia, “a magical, and happy place that once was free and open to all, but is accessible no longer.” No one knows what lies there, but it’s up to Princess Dam and her apprentice, Roland the BraveCat, to find the lost promised land. Players will encounter “haunting life forms and curious characters” along the way, and the King of Terrors and his army of evil monsters will stand in their path.

NIS America, FuRyu, and Lancarse have announced that a demo for the Switch RPG Monark is now available. It can be accessed by visiting the official eShop page.

The demo lets players partake in the opening sections of the game. Based on the Japanese trial, progress should be able to carry over to the full experience.
