Not many anime are as equally popular and controversial as Kill la Kill. Since its debut back in 2013, the show has been lauded for its unparalleled sense of style, humor, and intense action. On the other hand, it has also been criticized for its depiction of female characters and its inconsistent storytelling. Such factors should make adapting it into a video game an intimidating process. Yet famed publisher Arc System Works has stepped up to the plate, collaborating with developer Aplus to bring the anime to life in a new fighting game, entitled Kill la Kill: IF. Better yet, the show’s original creators, Studio Trigger, have overseen the game’s creation. Now the question remains: with such pedigree behind its creation, can the game keep from losing its way?

Summoning Focus: Weekly Revival 7 is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. 5-star Heroes who appeared before the start of Book II are available, and they have an initial appearance rate of 4 percent.

It’s also been announced that Forging Bonds: Joining Forces is starting on July 22. Players can forge bonds and gain friendship with Heroes like Byleth and Edelgard from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Special conversations can be unlocked by growing close to all event characters.

The last big event wrapped up in Splatoon 2 earlier today. Nintendo held the game’s final Splatfest, which had Team Chaos and Team Order battling it out one last time.

Here’s an overview:

Luigi’s Mansion 3 director Yoshihito Ikebata has spoken more about the origins of Gooigi. Although he’ll be appearing in the Switch game in a few months, his first appearance was in last year’s 3DS remake of the series’ initial entry.

Ikebata told Polygon that the idea for including Gooigi in the Luigi’s Mansion 3DS remake first came about after he’d been imagined for the Switch game. He also stated:

French retailers recently started to list a physical version of Yono and the Celestial Elephants. Now that it has appeared on Amazon France as well, we feel more confident that those listings are accurate.

It appears that the physical version of Yono and the Celestial Elephants will be available starting September 1, or sometime around then. Currently, no information has been shared about a release outside of France. However, Switch is region-free, and English will likely be supported.

You can pre-order Yono and the Celestial Elephants on Amazon France here. We have the game’s boxart above.
