Nintendo AU NZ announced a Q&A via Twitter for the upcoming Pokemon games, Sun and Moon. Producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori will be answering select questions. Any burning questions you have? Ask away!

Pokemon Shuffle update (9/27/2016) – Mega Beedrill and more

The highlight of this week’s Pokemon Shuffle update is the previously announced Mega Beedrill competition. Not only is this the first chance to get Beedrillite, but the stage also features a lot more items for victorious trainers. The top 13,000 in Europe, 20,000 players in North America, and 60,000 in Japan will receive the Beedrillite after the competition ends on October 4, with other prizes as follows:
Besides the competition, there is a new stage for Slaking and repeat runs of Keldeo Resolute Form and Mewtwo. Slaking and Keldeo’s stages will run until October 11, while Mewtwo runs until October 4.

LEGO Dimensions spotlight videos

Warner Bros. has come out with a bunch of videos for LEGO Dimensions that specifically put the spotlight on the latest content heading to LEGO Dimensions tomorrow. New packs are based on Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Adventure Time, and Mission Impossible. See them all below, along with an additional video for Mission Impossible.

Placards development wrapping up, trailer

Placards is the newest game from GetClose developer Wombat Source. We last heard about the project in January 2015, but it’s now nearing release.
It was clear before that Placards was going to be a puzzle title of some sorts. However, Wombat Source has now shared the following overview:
“Placards is a unique single-player puzzle experience that requires players to think both visually and strategically. Rearrange pixels on the screen by rotating or swapping to solve Placard puzzles. That Placard too big to solve in one go? Solve a piece at a time to get closer to that final Placard picture. From simple shapes to space ships to a fire breathing dragon, there are over 100 puzzles to keep you occupied for hours.”

Power Disc Slam update will add new mini-game levels and more

Chequered Cow Games has finished up a new patch for its 3DS eShop game Power Disc Slam. In terms of content, 16 new mini-game levels are included, along with some lighting effects/variants.

The new Power Disc Slam has already been submitted in North America and Europe. Assuming it goes through smoothly, it should be out soon.

River City: Tokyo Rumble with Limited Edition Kunio Keychain now available on Amazon

Natsume is bringing out River City: Tokyo Rumble as a physical title in North America tomorrow. Over on Amazon, you can now purchase the game with a limited edition keychain. Note that this is the only retailer where the bonus will be available, and there’s a chance that it will sell out at some point.
New Play Control! Pikmin hitting the North American Wii U eShop on Thursday

Following the latest Nintendo Direct earlier in the month, New Play Control! Pikmin released on the European Wii U eShop as a Wii download. In North America, the game is coming this week.
We usually don’t hear about Virtual Console/Wii download games until Wednesday, but Nintendo’s website already confirms that New Play Control! Pikmin is arriving in the states in just a couple of days. You’ll be able to pick it up starting on September 29 – this Thursday.
Here’s an overview:
“Captain Olimar has crash-landed on a strange world, and his only hope for survival lies with odd creatures called Pikmin. Set out and explore the strange, lush planet before Olimar’s life support runs out! Command up to 100 Pikmin, swarm predators, and haul critical parts back to your ship—all by using the Wii Remote.”

Paper Mario: Color Splash – Thing Cards footage

Nintendo of Canada on Yo-kai Watch’s popularity in North America, 3DS ports, Nintendo Directs

Nintendo held a Yo-kai Watch 2 event with Level-5 and Hasbro this past weekend in Toronto. GameSkinny attended the event, and was able to speak with Nintendo of Canada communications manager Andrew Collins. Collins commented on how Yo-kai Watch has become popular in North America, the 3DS versions of Yoshi’s Woolly World and Super Mario Maker, and Nintendo Directs.
