Polygon recently spoke with Niantic product manager Matt Slemon about all things Pokemon GO. Slemon talked about the mobile game’s past, present, and future.
As for what lies ahead, Slemon said that Pokemon GO is almost at “the point where our original launch trailer promise has been delivered”. While there will be “small iterations to our existing features”, the team is now going to concentrate a bit less on traditional Pokemon features and focus on “features that are more about really showing what it means to be an AR real-world game”.

Pokemon GO “Team Medallion” item datamined – change teams, can be bought once per 365 days
Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Mobile, News | 0 comments
Pokemon GO appears to be preparing for a new item that will allow players to change teams. “Team Medallion” seems to be coming in the next update based on what has been datamined by Chrales, which lets players transfer to another team. You’ll need to pay for the item, but it can only be purchased from the shop once every 365 days.
Note that there is no confirmed pricing for Team Medallion at this time. Niantic will presumably have more to say about this very soon.
