The Room

Later in the week, The Room will be launching digitally on Switch. Fireproof Games sent out a few screenshots showing how the visuals have improved on Nintendo’s console compared to the original mobile release. Take a look at the images below.

The Room is hitting the Switch eShop on Thursday. It’s a “physical puzzler, wrapped in a mystery game, inside a beautifully tactile 3D world.”

Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax

Aksys Games and Dream Loop have dated Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax for Switch. The couch co-op action shooter will release digitally on November 28, the two companies announced today.

A couple of new comparison videos have come in for new Switch games. Find ones showing how the Switch versions of Starlink: Battle for Atlas and Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption stack up to their PlayStation 4 counterparts below.

Chicken Wiggle Workshop was originally released on 3DS. The new version was funded for Switch on Kickstarter, and will have optional HD artwork and an orchestral soundtrack from Grant Kirkhope.

Defiant Development has announced that Hand of Fate 2 will be receiving new content on Switch. Along with The Servant and The Beast DLC, the game is also getting the “Combat Reforged” update.

SkyScrappers

Ground Shatter and Ant Workshop are bringing SkyScrappers to Switch, the two companies announced today. A release is planned for October 29.

SkyScrappers is described as “a retro-inspired vertically scrolling platform fighting game” in which “players scrap and scale their way to the top of a falling skyscraper – as it crumbles around them – in the ultimate thrill-seekers, daredevil race”. Find more details and a trailer below.

Superb Corp. has announced the piano-themed rhythm game Pianista: The Legendary Virtuoso for Nintendo Switch. The game features 77 songs from 23 famous composers. According to the game’s official website, it’s supposedly “out now” on the eShop, although that isn’t actually the case. Perhaps it will be released this Thursday with the regular weekly eShop update? Either way, here’s an overview of the game’s various modes:

MATINÉE – Choose 4 keys or 6 keys to perform, and select 3 songs to play. Challenge highest score to compete with others in Rank, also hidden stages are available when you achieve special missions.

CONCOURS – Packaged challenge sorted by different themes. This mode features various difficulty and missions. Show your best performance in concours.

ENSEMBLE – Using Joy con to perform a duet. Customize your own play style using different piano skins, speed options, and more options with friends for best result.

LIBRARY – Check your play status, and also world’s famous composers and their songs.

PIANO – There are many piano skins to collect, which inspired by world’s famous paintings. Achieve special missions to complete your collection!

Game Dev Story

Kairosoft brought a trio of games to Switch a few days ago, including Game Dev Story. Get a look at over an hour of footage below.

Originally a Wii game, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon is making its way to the Switch. This time around, the game boasts a 2-player mode that is for “Every Buddy” and if you don’t have a friend an NPC will accompany you on your voyage into the dungeons. There is plenty more that is new to this version and some questions that remained unanswered. Now grab your Gysahl Greens, for this Chocobo is hungry for information and is going to need all the stamina he can get.
