Experience just announced Monyuu, an upcoming dungeon RPG for Switch. A release is planned for this summer in Japan.

Monyuu is actually the official abbreviation for the full title, which has the lengthily name “Monster wo Taoshite Tsuyoi Ken ya Yoroi wo Te ni Shinasai. Yuusha Tai ga Maou wo Taosu Sono Hi wo Shinjiteimasu”. It translates to “Defeat Monsters to Get Strong Swords and Armor. We Believe in the Day the Heroes will Defeat the Demon Lord.” in English.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Expansion Pass

Marvelous has put out a trailer that highlights the March 2021 content featured in the Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Expansion Pass. The DLC will launch on March 25 and sometime during April in the west.

The first DLC includes ‘Animal Attire costumes for the protagonists and marriage candidates. That’s on top of the ‘Olive Town Mystery Files’ sub-scenario.

Uncharted Waters IV with Power-Up Kit HD Version

Koei Tecmo has issued the first trailer for Uncharted Waters IV with Power-Up Kit HD Version, its upcoming simulation game for Switch. Check out the video below.

Uncharted Waters IV with Power-Up Kit HD Version arrives for Switch on May 20 in Japan. A western release has not yet been announced.

R-Type Final 2

During a “Granzella Meeting” live stream today, Granzella announced that it is preparing a demo for R-Type 2, and it will be available on Switch. Further information was not provided aside from the April 1 release date.

NIS America is handling R-Type 2 in the west, so it’s possible that the publisher will extend the same demo to overseas fans at some point as well.

R-Type 2 itself launches on April 29 in Japan, followed by April 30 in North America and Europe.

FuRyu and Historia have shared another music trailer for The Caligula Effect 2, this time for Kranke – who’s voiced by Yuuki Takada. We’ve included it below.

PQube and Kadokawa Games have shared a launch trailer for Root Film, Switch’s thrilling adventure game with visual novel elements. View it below.

Root Film arrives today on Switch both physically and digitally.

Maneater

Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver have announced that their open-world action-RPG Maneater is scheduled to launch on Switch on May 25. Initially released on other platforms last year, the title was delayed from a 2020 release date on Switch. You can check out our original coverage here.

Maneater will launch physically as well as digitally on the Switch eShop on May 25.

Blue Fire

Blue Fire, the 3D action adventure game that first launched for Switch in February, is now confirmed for physical release. Graffiti Games and Robi Studios will be bringing the title to retail on June 25 for $29.99. Pre-orders are open on GameStop here.

Pre-orders for Blue Fire start tomorrow. In the meantime, we have the boxart above.

Those that can’t wait on the physical version of Blue Fire can pick up the game from the Switch eShop now.
