Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 9.0.1

Nintendo has announced another update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Following up on version 9.0.0 that just released last week, version 9.0.1 is dropping tomorrow.

Nintendo says that fighter adjustments will be included, so replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. You can conserve any data you’ve recorded by going through the following steps:

Nintendo has announced the latest tournament for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Tying in with the new Minecraft DLC, you’ll only be able to use characters that have tools as part of their movesets.

The new tournament goes live in Smash Bros. Ultimate on October 23. Keeping in line with previous events, it’ll last for a total of three days.

Pokemon Sword/Shield - The Crown Tundra

Update: This post has been updated with new content.


Original: Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are about to receive their second and final expansion. The Crown Tundra is releasing in just a couple of days, though some very noteworthy details and images have leaked online ahead of time.

CentroLeaks has been sharing uncovered content over on Twitter. We have the full roundup below, but keep in mind there is content that may be considered spoiler territory.

Later Alligator

It’s been close to a year since we first heard about a Switch version of Later Alligator. Fortunately, the port is still moving along, and Fangamer has now revealed that a physical release is happening.

You can pre-order the physical version of Later Alligator here, along with new merchandise. The boxed edition is planned for Q1 2021. Later Alligator was previously announced for a 2020 release on Switch, though it’s unclear if that still holds true for the digital edition.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt players on Switch can access a new update. CD Projekt Red has issued version 3.7, which includes a fix involving multiple file transfers to/from Steam and GOG.COM cloud saves service.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

It’ll be a few more weeks until Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin arrives, but we have a first look at the Switch version in action with an hour of gameplay. Have a look at the footage below.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin launches on November 10 in North America and November 20 in Europe.

Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2’s big 1.0 update arrives on Switch today. Players can get their hands on tons of new content, though there are also lots of gameplay changes.

Truck Driver

Truck Driver is just a month off from its Switch launch. The game will launch on November 17, SOEDESCO announced today.

Truck Driver will support solo horizontal Joy-Con grip, tilt controls, HD Rumble and touch screen on Switch.

Code: Realize ~Wintertide Miracles~ has been confirmed to be coming for both a digital and physical Switch release in the west by publisher Aksys Games. In Japan, the visual novel initially came to Switch last July. Check out an overview courtesy of Gematsu below.

GungHo has put out the fourth anime episode for Ninjala. Today’s video is centered around Kappei, “a young boy from Iga who practices swordsmanship under the watchful eye of his grandfather.”
