Piofiore: Episodio 1926 delayed until November in Japan

Previously slated for an October release, Idea Factory has decided to push the release date for Piofiore: Episodio 1926 to November 12 in Japan. Only citing ” “various circumstances” for the delay, it joins the list of the many games that have seen delayed release dates this year.
While publisher Aksys has not yet given word on a delay for the Western release, which was also supposed to release on October 8th, we will update this post if an announcement is made. You can check out our previous coverage of the title, which is a sequel to the July 2019 (2018 for PS Vita) release Piofiore: Fated Memories, here.

Sonic Forces + Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD Double Pack also on the way

SEGA has a second double pack in store for Switch. As revealed by a GameFly listing, another package will be released featuring Sonic Forces and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. It should hit store shelves in October.
This past weekend, the Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack was discovered for Switch, which is also planned for October. You can pre-order it on Amazon here.

NBA 2K21 received its demo on Switch today, and some footage is now available showing it off. Check out the trial via the video below.
While NBA 2K21’s demo is currently available, the full game is planned for September 4.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst physical pre-orders open this week, collector’s edition revealed

Limited Run Games previously confirmed Mighty Gunvolt Burst for physical release, and the company followed up today with new information. Pre-orders open this Friday, August 28, at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.
Aside from a standard release, a collector’s edition is planned. It’ll include a few goodies such as an original soundtrack, stickers, and acrylic standees.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World announced, coming to Switch

Publisher ININ Games and developer Studio Artdink have announced Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World, a new entry in the long-running franchise. Members of the original team are on board, including series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa as director, original composer Shinichi Sakamoto who’s leading the way on the game’s sounds, character designer Maki Ozora, and creative manager Takanori Kurihara.

According to a report from Economic Daily News, Nintendo will launch a new Switch hardware model in early 2021. The Taipei-based newspaper claims to have received its information from manufacturing sources.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV is coming to Switch, Koei Tecmo has announced. It will be released in conjunction with the “Diplomacy & Strategy Expansion Pack”.
Although Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV has released on other platforms previously, this is its first appearance on Switch. The extra pack also “introduces for the first time in the series the ability to trade with Eurasia as well as new strategies that change depending on how the territories unfold, among other features”.
