KiKi KaiKai: Kuro Mantle no Nazo announced for Switch
Posted on 4 years ago by Ervin in News, Switch | 0 comments
Publisher Taito and developer Natsume Atari have announced a sequel to the 1992 shoot-em-up KiKi KaiKai: Nazo no Kuro Mantle, KiKi KaiKai: Kuro Mantle no Nazo. The original KiKi KaiKai: Nazo no Kuro Mantle, known as Pocky & Rocky in the West, was available on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game is a sequel, not a remake, but it features improved graphics over the original while maintaining the 16-bit style. It is being developed by Tengo Project, a team within Natsume Atari.
Tengo Project has made several sequels to action games from the 1990s, all of which were localized to the West, so it is likely that this may also be the case for this Pocky & Rocky sequel. No release window has been announced yet.

Nintendo has provided a new look at Super Mario Galaxy on Switch from Super Mario 3D All-Stars. It’s not much, but we do have a bit of footage below.
To further clarify controls on Switch, you won’t be forced to use any sort of motion controls to spin. On Wii, you needed to shake the Wii Remote to perform that move. This is still possible on Switch with the right Joy-Con, but you can now spin with the “Y” button as well.

[Review] Ary and the Secret of Seasons
Posted on 4 years ago by Dennis Gagliardotto(@LyonHart_) in Reviews, Switch | 0 comments
System: Switch
Release date: September 1, 2020
Developer: eXiin
Publisher: Modus Games
Despite games taking us to other worlds and giving us what can feel like the ultimate sense of escapism, it seems that there’s less of an emphasis these days on genuinely having fun and instead wanting to make things as realistic as possible. Sometimes it feels like wonder and awe are lost, but then you come across something like Ary and the Secret of Seasons, which exudes a magical presence and a fantastical setting you’d want to explore and live in. It has that sense of adventure, a charming art style, and a heartwarming story that, while simple, remains effective in giving an overall feeling of positivity as you play throughout. It hits all the right notes when it comes to being a decent game that’s accessible and for a wide demographic, but its biggest issues unfortunately come from an overall mess of an experience filled with graphical glitches, borderline unplayable performance in some cases, and bugs in just about every corner.

The purchase bonuses for Super Mario 3D All-Stars continue to roll in. Target is the latest retailer to come forward, revealing that those who buy the release will receive an exclusive magnet set.
Walmart and GameStop also have purchase bonuses, which are a sticker set and Joy-Con covers respectively. We have more information here and here.
As for Target’s bonus, it currently seems that this is an in-store offer. We’re not seeing anything about it being made available online at the moment.
