Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate does have a listing on the European eShop. But in North America, that’s no longer the case. The page is missing, meaning you can’t pre-load the game in North America.

We have a feeling that this is just a minor mix-up. Capcom should put the page back before launch, and with the pre-load option. Even if that doesn’t happen, you should be able to purchase the digital version upon release.

Thanks to Nao★Mi (Rikaria) for the tip.

Sumikko Gurashi: Atsumare! Sumikko Town

Nippon Columbia is working on a second Sumikko Gurashi game for Switch. Announced today is Sumikko Gurashi: Atsumare! Sumikko Town, a town building title.

In Sumikko Gurashi: Atsumare! Sumikko Town, players will be able to build their own town and enjoy heartwarming communication between different characters.

Dragon Quest is no stranger to long localizations. It can take years for games to leave Japan after all. With Dragon Quest VII on 3DS for example, it took over three years for the RPG to reach North America and Europe.

Dragon Quest XI producer Yuu Miyake spoke about this with Game Informer. Due to the large amount of text in each game and creator Yuji Horii’s dedication to the translation, it can take quite some time for different entries in the series to appear around the world.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Each year when E3 rolls around, it’s accompanied by increased activity at retailers like GameStop. Switch in particular put in work there.

GameStop VP of merchandising Eric Bright mentioned to GamesIndustry that Switch sales doubled during E3 week. Titles like Smash Bros. Ultimate were also highly pre-ordered.

Eye Monitor

Sanko is working on a new product known as the “Eye Theater”, an upcoming accessory that will be compatible with Switch and smartphones.

The wearable device makes you feel like you are watching a 120-inch screen. It has a resolution of 1,280×800. Along with the monitor, it also includes an adapter and HDMI cables.

The Eye Monitor will be available in Japan this September. Pricing is set at 22,780 yen.

If you’re playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you can do some crazy things with custom fan mods. However, this functionality isn’t available in the Switch version. And unfortunately, that won’t be changing anytime soon.

Eurogamer asked Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard about the possibility of adding in mod support for Skyrim on Switch. Despite “a big community” on the platform that has requested the feature, Howard indicated that there are no current plans.

Curve Digital has announced some major new functionality for Human: Fall Flat. Starting in August, players on Switch will be able to partake in 8-player online multiplayer. It will be added as part of a free update.

Sumo Digital has been brought in to make online multiplayer possible on consoles. The functionality “allows players to create their own lobbies and invite up to seven friends to flounder their way through the campaign with them, as the gaggle of clumsy Bobs wobble about surreal environments full of physics-based puzzles.”
