Along with a teaser trailer, Bandai Namco has prepared a theme song video for its Switch and 3DS game Neko Tomo. Both are attached below.

The Smash Bros. Blog has updated with its latest entry for Smash Bros. Ultimate. This time around, two Pokemon are introduced.

Here’s the rundown on Lunala and Solgaleo plus screenshots:

If there’s one character fans have been rallying to be made a playable character in Smash Bros. Ultimate as of late, that’d be Waluigi. After the Switch title was revealed at E3 a couple of weeks ago, some fans were very vocal in expressing their disappointment that he won’t be on the roster. Rather than being playable, Waluigi is an Assist Trophy once again.

Vice caught up with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime and asked him about the situation. Here’s an exchange between the two sides:

Super Mario Odyssey is continuing to add new outfits to the game. Just a few moments ago, Nintendo added in the Rango Hat and Rango Suit. The design is based on one of the Broodals.

The Rango Hat / Suit set was one of several costumes for Super Mario Odyssey that had been previously leaked. A post covering that information with other outfits can be found here.

Next month, the Mega Man X Legacy Collection will be launching on the Switch. However, one of the more questionable design choices will be undone for this release.

Mega Man X5 was localized for the Americas in 2001, but instead of naming its robot bosses as per usual, they were given names in reference to Guns N’ Roses band members. Capcom has decided that the collections will have the traditional names for these bosses, which longtime fans will surely appreciate. The community was not too pleased with this unconventional decision in Mega Man X5, but their displeasure did not go unnoticed!

A Capcom representative gave more details courtesy of GameSpot:

“In our mission to make these collections an authentic Mega Man X experience, we took the opportunity to better align the naming of the Mega Man X5 Mavericks across all regions for better narrative cohesion across the series, making the names more aligned with the original Japanese version release. We hope that fans appreciate our intent to unify the Mega Man X Maverick-naming convention all these years later.”

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

Capcom has announced a new update for Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection. Most platforms will have it tomorrow, but Switch players will have to wait a bit longer as Capcom wraps up work on it for Nintendo players.

As for what the update entails, Capcom promises improved matchmaking. Here’s the official note from the company:

Mario Tennis Aces

Mario Tennis Aces is getting another update this week, Nintendo has confirmed. Version 1.1.1 be going live on Friday in Japan, so possibly late Thursday night in North America.

At least for part of the update, tournaments and a rating feature will be involved. The rating will be an accumulation of all points gained and lost during your matches. With version 1.1.1, you’ll basically be able to check your rating in the tournament from July 1st onwards. If a communication error occurs in the middle of the match, your rating will be impacted by what points you had gained/lost up until the moment of the error.

We’ll let you know when the update is live and when the full patch notes are in.
