Switch

Earlier today, Hazelight Studios hosted a Reddit AMA. Fans were able to ask the team all sorts of questions, including why it won’t be on Switch.

Programmer Lucas de Vries pointed to Switch launching “quite late in our development cycle” as one reason for its absence. He also brought up how you would need to buy an extra Pro Controller for the game, “which seems like it would be a little unfair to the concept of the Switch.” Implementing single Joy-Con play also wouldn’t have really been an option due to the need for individual camera control.

NIS America issued a new Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory video today that highlights Legatus Laendur. Watch the “Flames of Rebellion” trailer below.

Nintendo has shared the latest piece of concept art from Super Mario Odyssey, which highlights Bonneton. We have it above.

Nintendo says that many Bonneton was styled after a top hat, as we know. The ground texture was also intended to give off the feeling of a silk hat. As a way of highlighting the moon, only a certain amount of colors were used.

A number of Sonic announcements were made during an official panel at SXSW on Friday. These included Sonic Mania Plus, the animated Sonic Mania Adventures animated shorts, and more.

SEGA has followed up with an official announcement recapping all of the news. Find that below, along with high quality art for Sonic Mania Adventures.

A couple of days ago, we came across a listing for Flashback 25th Anniversary on Amazon Germany. It was the first time we had heard about the Switch release since Microids’ announcement last year.

Microids has now officially confirmed that Flashback 25th Anniversary is heading to Switch in June. A collector’s edition will be sold in Europe and Australia (folks in the US can import from Amazon Germany here), which certainly makes the €39.99 price tag from Amazon Germany more justifiable. Included inside is a physical copy of Flashback 25th Anniversary, a retro cartridge style metal case, an exclusive numbered metal card, a 24-page retro-style instruction booklet, and the digital soundtrack (remastered version).

Bandai Namco published a new wave of screenshots for the latest character reveals in My Hero Academia: One’s Justice. Today’s images showcase Tsuyu Asui, Denki Kaminari, and Momo Yaoyorozu.

We have the images below:

2K Sports may not be finished updating WWE 2K18 on Switch, as we’re hearing that a new patch is live. Players can download version 1.03.

We don’t have any patch notes – at least currently – so we only have user impressions to go off of at the moment. We’re hearing that load times may have been improved in some areas, but the game still suffers from notable frame rate drops. Cards also now show the A button instead of B.
