The upcoming issue of Famitsu features an article on Valkyria Chronicles 4. We will have more details once we get our hands on the full issue of the magazine tomorrow, but for now here’s what we learned from the preview of the article on Famitsu’s website (thanks to Siliconera for the translation):

First up, some details on the game’s leveling system. You don’t actually level up each character individually, but rather the classes as a whole. After you reach a certain experience threshold, you can upgrade the units belonging to that class.

The official Japanese Fire Emblem Warriors Twitter account has posted screenshots of the three new History Mode maps that will be part of the game’s first DLC pack launching this week. Azura’s map is based on the destroyed Hoshidan village square as seen in chapter 5 of Fire Emblem Fates, “Mother”. The other two maps are based on the ice tribe’s village and Izumo castle.

The BIU, the German games industry association, has revealed its sales awards for this past November. Super Mario Odyssey has received the platinum award, which means that it sold between 200,000 and 500,000 copies in November alone. Splatoon 2 got the gold award, meaning that it sold between 100,000 and 200,000 copies.

These are both very impressive numbers, especially since Mario Odyssey launched in October and Splatoon 2 was released all the way back in July.
