Switch

Thanks to Rising Star Games, we have our first look at Superbeat: Xonic on Switch with a first trailer. Have a look at it below.

Like many other companies, Capcom also recently released its latest financial results. In the earnings report for the first quarter of the fiscal year, Capcom also touched on Ultra Street Fighter II for the Switch – the report calls the game a “smash hit” and said that it “made an excellent start”. Concrete sales figures were not provided.

While these are rather vague statements, they are positive, so apparently the game has performed to Capcom’s satisfaction. Hopefully this means more support from them for the Switch.

Another new weapon will be added to Splatoon 2 tomorrow, July 29th. The Dual Squelcher from the first game has been reimagined as a Dualies-style weapon – the Dualie Squelchers. Just like with the Splat Dualies, you’ll also be able to use dodge rolls with this weapon. The Dualie Squelchers will come with the Point Sensor sub weapon and the Tenta Missiles special weapon.

Nintendo doesn’t always continue promoting games with ads after their release in Japan, but with ARMS, they most certainly have. A new commercial for the Switch title is going out today. You can see it below.

Listings for This is the Police have been appearing on European retailer websites as of late. Further adding to the speculation is a new page on Koch Media’s website.

Koch handles the distribution of THQ Nordic games in a few European countries. Given that, you would think they would know about upcoming releases. That’s why it’s interesting how Koch also says that This is the Police is bound for Switch. It’s listed for a release on December 29, though that’s certainly a random, tentative date.

If we hear anything else about This is the Police coming to Switch, we’ll let you know.

snakebyte has a new controller in the pipeline for Switch. This fall, the company will put out the Wireless Game:Pad S Pro, a “superior quality, professional grade controller”.

Here’s what you can expect from the hardware:

Designed to connect wirelessly to the Nintendo Switch using the same Bluetooth® technology as standard JoyCon™ controllers, the Wireless GAME:PAD S PRO offers the precision control of an authentic console game pad, without sacrificing the ease of connectivity and low-latency enjoyed by Switch owners. High-quality analog thumbsticks and digital d-pad combine with dual-vibration motors, delivering enhanced haptic feedback for the complete gaming experience.

Switch owners will immediately appreciate the difference delivered by the high-performance build quality and familiar controller layout, while the integrated Capture Button allows players to snap their favourite moments in an instant! Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries charge the controller ultra-quickly and the Wireless GAME:PAD S PRO also features a user-assigned turbo function to add further customisation to gaming sessions.

snakebyte will also be releasing a wired version of the controller with the GAME:PAD S. It will ship alongside the wireless variant, and is identical in build and design.
