It’s time for the latest Famitsu‘s most wanted games chart. Dragon Quest XI retains its position while Fire Emblem Echoes moves up another spot.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between March 30 and April 5.

Original: We missed Aqua Style’s first tweet which says that the demo will be exclusively playable at Reitaisai, so nothing is official regarding a final release. As the actual effort is being put into the project, we would be surprised if something doesn’t happen with the game on Switch down the line.

Original: Touhou Genso Wanderer is coming to Switch, Aqua Style has revealed. The company shared the announcement on its Twitter page.

If all goes well, Touhou Genso Wanderer will be playable at Touhou Game Show 2017 at Tokyo Big Sight on May 7. This is part of a bigger Touhou Project convention, the Reitaisai.

NIS America localized the PS4 and PS Vita versions of Touhou Genso Wanderer last month, but it’s unclear if there are any plans for the Switch version in the west – especially since development isn’t terribly far along. As for the game itself, it’s a roguelike RPG that has players controling Reimu, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, to investigate the latest incident to take place in the world of Gensokyo.

Here’s a look at the title:

At the end of last week, we posted several character profiles for ARMS. The game’s Japanese website provided additional information on Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, Master Mummy, Min Min, and Mechanica.

We took a look at the overviews ourselves, and noticed that there was some extra information not included in the original translation. Continue on below for the complete character profiles

Spring Man
Affiliation: Spring Gym*
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 168 lbs
Age: 20
Favorite things: Working out, pizza (my record is 12 pies)

Furious fighter with spring-shaped arms!
Acts like a goofball, but he’s no joke in the ring.
His indomitable spirit keeps him in a constantly charged state while he’s in a pinch, as he aims for the reigning champion’s belt!

A trio of new screenshots are online for Sonic Forces. Take a look at the latest images from SEGA’s upcoming game below.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has very few restrictions. Even in the opening section, you have a huge area to explore – that being The Great Plateau.

The only limitation is that you need to complete a few tasks before leaving The Great Plateau. Once that’s done, you’ll be given Link’s trusty paraglider. It’s then that you’re free to leave and explore Hyrule to its fullest.

A recent issue of Famitsu contained an interview about Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. The magazine caught up with assistant producer Tomoaki Ayano to learn more about the upcoming Switch game.

Ayano started out by discussing why this particular title was chosen for Switch. He explained that it’s Street Fighter’s 30th anniversary, so the thinking here was to provide an environment for longtime fans who have been supporting the series and want to play Street Fighter again as a way of saying thanks. Right at that time, Switch came into the picture. When thinking of a Street Fighter game that was on Nintendo consoles and very popular among the generation who are now parents, Street Fighter II came to mind.

At EGX Rezzed earlier this month, a special Switch panel was held. Representatives from Dangerous Kitchen, Image & Form, Ghost Town Games, and Zoink Games stopped by to talk about developing indie games on the platform. The full recording is now available, and we have it below.

Bandai Namco revealed Namco Museum for Switch during this week’s Nintendo Direct. It was announced as an eShop title, but new evidence suggests that a physical release is in the cards as well.

Included with the official news about Namco Museum is a boxart image, shown above. Nintendo’s website also shows the boxart along with a $29.99 price point.

We reached out to Bandai Namco to clarify the situation, but have thus far not heard back. If Namco Museum is indeed getting a physical version, it wouldn’t be the only piece of incorrect information shared during the Nintendo Direct. Although Nintendo also said that Battle Chasers: Nightwar will come to Switch first, developer Airship Syndicate later clarified that it isn’t actually the case.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Not every idea made it into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For instance, Nintendo considered including tiny people as well as the Hookshot and Beetle items.

Art director Satoru Takizawa and director Hidemaro Fujibayashi revealed another cut idea while speaking with GameSpot. At one point, players would be able to stab their weapon into a wall. Doing so would let Link recover stamina.

Midway through development, the team decided against including the mechanic. This was in large part due to feedback from Shigeru Miyamoto, who essentially vetoed the idea due to it being illogical. The developers thought about stabbing weapons into cracks or crevices, though that wouldn’t work either since you’d be limited in where it could be done.
