Switch owners have been coming all with all sorts of neat ways to make a new dock for their device since the system launched earlier this month. Reddit user tettzan777 shared his own novel idea today, which uses a Nintendo 64.

You’ll be happy to know that the N64 wasn’t destroyed in the process. It was completely broken otherwise, so the broken console was used for the dock.

The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire took place this past weekend, and Digital Foundry now has an analysis about its resolution and frame rate in particular.

At least currently, we can expect Splatoon 2 to run at 1280×720 while in docked mode, and at a dynamic resolution while playing in handheld mode. It also has a rock-solid 60 frames per second.

Today, Image & Form published the latest video in its video series known as “The Engine Room”. The studio chatted in-depth about SteamWorld Dig 2 by answering various fan questions. Rocket League has continued to expand since its debut in 2015. However, it has yet to appear on any Nintendo platform.

With Switch, Psyonix Studios’ vice president Jeremy Dunham says that the team is “evaluating” the possibility. A decision will ultimately be made based on “the technical requirements” as well as “community demand”.

Dunham told IGN:

“Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are. We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would.”

LEGO City Undercover’s packaging appeared online yesterday, which stated that players would need up to 13GB of storage for the “game download” on Switch.  This suggested that the whole title is not included on the physical cartridge itself. But today, LEGO City Undercover publisher Warner Bros. has provided Eurogamer with a statement about the situation.

According to a company spokesperson, “players who purchase LEGO City Undercover on Nintendo Switch at retail do not need to download the game to play”.

If this is true, then we still don’t know why the label says it is required to download up to 13GB of data. It’s possible that some of the game can be played without the additional download, but we can’t say for sure just yet. We’ll keep you informed if we hear anything else about the situation.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild maintained strong positioning on the UK charts. As mentioned yesterday, it was the sixth best-selling individual game for the week of March 25, and the tenth best-seller on the all formats chart.

According to GamesIndustry, sales of Zelda experienced a 50 percent boost. The site attributes that to Switch stock, as “units begin to trickle their way back into retailers”.

GameXplain has recently put out a video detailing the changes made to the Splatoon 2 stage “The Reef” since it was first revealed to the public two months ago. While it’s not a surprise to see changes made to pre-release versions of games like this, it’s interesting to see what’s been going on behind the scenes with the game. Check it out below.

Switch’s first system update since launch is now available for download. Version 2.1.0 is out now for all users worldwide.

Keep in mind that it does not add any new functionality. “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience,” Nintendo says of the update.

You should be able to continue playing any game you have open while the update downloads. The same goes for accessing the eShop.

When you purchase a physical copy of a game, you don’t normally anticipate needing to download much data. But in the case of LEGO City Undercover on Switch, that apparently won’t be the case.

LEGO City Undercover’s new version is starting to show up at retailers, and it gives us a final look at the box. The big takeaway is that up to 13GB of storage may be needed for “game download.”

One mini-game in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild tasks you with gliding as far as you can. Players are now trying to come up with inventive ways of extending their run and going for the world record.

In a new run, one person used Link’s paraglider to travel 7,616 meters across Hyrule. This was done in 22 minutes, as shown in the video below. It wasn’t easy, and some tricks were used – such as using bomb arrows and the wind as well as plenty of potions to restore Link’s stamina.
