dbrand sent out word earlier today that its adhesive Switch skins were causing issues by leaving damage on the Switch Joy-Con and system itself. As a result, pre-orders for its products were cancelled.

There are other companies out there though, such as PDP. The accessories-maker worked with Nintendo on the Zelda skins for example. And if a Facebook post from PDP is anything to go by, they shouldn’t cause problems.

YouTube’s Master0fHyrule created a video comparing the loading times between the Switch and Wii U versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild based on physical copies of the game. Switch appears to have a leg up on the initial loading and starting the quest, but Wii U seems to have a slight advantage when entering Shrines and restarting from death.

Those looking to secure a Switch console will have another opportunity to do so this weekend. On Sunday, Toys “R” Us will have the console available in stores.

Most stores should open at 10 AM. Toys “R” Us suggests showing up early, as stock may be taken up quickly.

If you’re interested in having the Switch Joy-Con work with a PC, that’s definitely something you can do. The two controllers pair and connect just fine.

The Joy-Con work as individual input devices in landscape mode. For what it’s worth, each one is uniquely identified (past controllers like the Wii Remotes and Wii U Pro controller showed as “Nintendo RVL-CNT” and “Nintendo RVL-CNT-01” respectively) and natively work as game controllers.

Here’s a video showing the connectivity:

HORI sent out a tweet earlier today officially confirming the existence of its fight stick for Nintendo’s new console. The Real Arcade Pro.V Hayabusa for Nintendo Switch will be released at some point down the line. HORI isn’t talking specifics yet including when it will be released, but we can expect more information the future.
