Original: River City Girls 2 appears to have a release date in the west, and according to an eShop listing, it will be launching next week. The store page has it down for December 15, 2022.
The game just came out in Japan a few days ago. WayForward recently said it needed “a bit more time” for the North American and European launch “in order to deliver the best, most full-featured experience possible.” However, the company said that the overseas release is still expected by the end of 2022. Obviously there are only a few weeks remaining in the year, but assuming the eShop listing is correct, we’ll be seeing the title very soon.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet EXP farm trick discovered

A new method has been discovered that lets players easily and passively farm EXP in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
The games already have one feature, known as “Let’s Go”, in which a Pokemon can walk alongside you while exploring the Paldea region outdoors. This creature can then be sent off to fight other Pokemon with Auto Battles. With Auto Battles, experience can be earned without players having to designate orders. However, the new technique players have found takes this to another level for an arguably better EXP farm in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Original (10/19): Leoful today unveiled Super Retro Platformer Collection, a new Switch physical release featuring four different titles by German retro indie studio Diplodocus Games. It will release in 2023.
The collection includes both 2D and 3D platformers. Commander Keen in Keen Dreams: Definitive Edition, Macbat 64, Regina & Mac, and Toree 3D will be packed in. These titles were made available on the eShop previously as digital downloads.
Leoful says it’ll have more information, including a specific release date, pricing, and pre-orders in the future. Note that Super Retro Platformer Collection is only planned for Asia at present, but importing will be an option for anyone who’s interested.
Update (12/5): Super Retro Platformer Collection will launch on January 13, 2023 in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and other Asian markets. Pre-orders begin today – those in other regions will need to import, but as always, that isn’t an issue since Switch is region-free.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Enjoy four great retro platformers inspired by the NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 eras in Super Retro Platformer Collection, featuring Commander Keen in Keen Dreams: Definitive Edition, Macbat 64, Regina & Mac, and Toree 3D!
Game 1: Commander Keen in Keen Dreams: Definitive Edition
Commander Keen is back. In the modernised Definitive Edition of the lost episode “Keen Dream”, Keen has to fend off a nasty nightmare about evil vegetables. The Definitive Edition features full widescreen support, twelve all-new levels – doubling the length over the 1990 original – and a full music score. The game structure has been reworked to make the game a more modern experience without sacrificing any of the original charm!
Game 2: Macbat 64: Journey of a Nice Chap
Embark on a journey with the lovable bat Macbat, as he ventures through 9 colorful platforming levels to obtain the keys to the water factory to restore water production. Featuring a playful artstyle reminiscent of the 64-bit era, Macbat 64 will fly right to the hearts of all 90s platformer fans.
Game 3: Regina & Mac
Join the macaw Regina and the tyrannosaurus Mac on their adventure as they try to escape a lifeless research lab. The only way out? To find the golden Floppy discs on which the memory of the lab’s computer system U64 is stored so that it can help the duo to find an exit. Regina & Mac is a 3D platformer that stands in the tradition of the classics from the late 90s and offers a fair challenge even for genre aficionados.
Game 4: Toree 3D
A bite-sized 3D platformer with a few weird elements. Life as a chirp is hard: As Toree straddles about, a creepy mean guy comes rushing along and steals Toree’s ice cream. In an attempt to right this wrong, Toree starts a furious chase through nine carefully crafted levels with a strong emphasis on speed and flow.
