Wii U

Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends have both received new updates and DLC. On Wii U, version 1.10.0 is out now. 3DS is up to version 1.4.0.

The patch notes for Wii U say that adjustments were made to some of the characters while also fixing bugs. 3DS has increased the level cap, added medals and fairies, adjusted rupees earned through StreetPass Link, adjusted characters, and addressed bugs.

The newest DLC, Link’s Awakening Pack, is available on both of Nintendo’s platforms. This includes Marin, boots for Linkle, 16 new costumes, plus 16 new My Fairy costume pieces and an Adventure Mode map specifically on 3DS.

DigitalFoundry has returned with another technical analysis. Today, the outlet is taking a look at how Mighty No. 9 shapes up on Wii U. The results unfortunately aren’t pretty.

One of the biggest issues with Mighty No. 9 on Wii U is the frame rate. It’s uncapped, and due to dips, results in a very unstable experience. The action can apparently drop to as low as 12 frames per second.

Loading times can be another cause of frustration. It’s estimated that loading a new stage takes 20 seconds, with tedious waiting also needed after dying.

Here’s the full analysis, including a look at how the patch improves loading times slighty:

While the three Splatfest stages have traditionally been picked by the developers, the final Splatfest, Team Callie vs. Team Marie, will have its stages voted on by players. E-mails will be sent out to the accounts linked to players’ Nintendo Network IDs, with voting ending on July 12th.

The next, and final, Splatfest has been revealed. The theme will be Callie vs. Marie, with the two Squid Sisters (and fans) finally settling the great debate. The Splatfest will start at 2 AM PST on July 22, and will finish at 2AM July 24. It will be a worldwide Splatfest, with scores from each region being totaled (although the top 100 players from each region will be signaled out individually). Players can start getting their Splatfest shirts on July 4, at 7 PM PST.
