Wii U

The previously-announced Battle Mini Game in Minecraft: Wii U Edition now has a release date. Today, it’s confirmed that the content will be available for free on June 21.

A new trailer has accompanied today’s announcement. That can be found below.

Two upcoming Wii U games can now be pre-loaded in North America. Starting now, it’s possible to purchase Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in advance. Nintendo will let you download most of the data, with only a small update needed at launch to begin playing.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE requires 12.8GB of space. Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games takes up 2863.5 MB.

Nordic Games is continuing its support for Wii U. Following last year’s Legend of Kay Anniversary Edition and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 which just came out this week, the publisher is preparing another title for Nintendo’s console.

Nordic Games business and product development director Reinhard Pollice teased on Twitter that an action-adventure title is on the way. Sadly, he didn’t elaborate any further.

Pollice’s tweet is as follows:

Update: New wave of LEGO Dimensions packs up for pre-order on Amazon.

Warner Bros. Interactive has just put up the LEGO Dimensions E3 2016 trailer, which confirms a whole bunch of properties coming to LEGO Dimensions.

Some information was made known earlier this week through rumors and leaks. But now it’s official: franchises including Sonic The Hedgehog, Harry Potter, Adventure Time, Mission Impossible, E.T., The Goonies, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Ghostbusters (reboot) are on the way.

Have a look at the E3 trailer below:

LEGO Dimensions players can get their hands on new packs based on 16 new entertainment properties starting on September 27 with the Ghostbusters Story Pack, Adventure Time and Mission: Impossible Level Packs, Harry Potter and Adventure Time Team Packs, and The A-Team Fun Pack. Additionally, packs for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The LEGO Batman Movie, The Goonies, Sonic The Hedgehog, Teen Titans Go!, LEGO City Undercover, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Gremlins, Beetlejuice and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial will be released in waves stretching into summer of next year.

Tower Records is promoting Splatoon in a big way. Starting on June 24 and ending on July 24, a special Splatoon-themed sale will be running.

Tower Records is planning on offering items like T-shirts, apparel such as mugs, stickers, and pins, confectionery, and more. Limited edition items including a backpack and water bottle will also be up for grabs through scratch cards distributed in store. If that wasn’t enough, the Splatune soundtrack will be sold as well, and free Squid Sisters-inspired stickers will be available on a limited basis.

Making the whole thing even neater is that the collaboration T-shirts will be added to Splatoon. We don’t know when exactly, but we’ll let you know when we hear more.

Update: Head past the break for the full lineup of songs.

Nintendo announced today that the full soundtrack of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be available to purchase in Japan on July 27th for a price of 4611 yen. You may remember that a limited selection soundtrack was packaged with the game’s limited edition, but this release will contain all of the game’s 108 tracks. It will be released on three discs – disc 1 containing 40 tracks, disc 2 containing 37 tracks and disc 3 containing 31 tracks.

The soundtrack release will also contain a poster; first print copies will also contain a badge depicting Link.

Warner Bros. will have big news about LEGO Dimensions tomorrow. However, part of the fun has been let loose early, as Amazon Spain has leaked a bunch of upcoming packs.

The new Ghostbusters movie, Harry Potter, Adventure Time, The A-Team, and Mission Impossible are all coming to LEGO Dimensions. With Ghostbusters, it’s a Story Pack, with the box stating that you can “Play the complete movie.”

Other franchises like Sonic and Powerpuff Girls have been rumored for LEGO Dimensions. If they’re in, we should be hearing about them tomorrow.

Update (6/8): Aaaand all of the listings are gone again. We’ll be ceasing our coverage of this until E3 next week!

Update (6/6): Runbow 3DS is back up on Amazon. The Wii U version is still missing. Also, the Tumblestone Xbox One page has now removed the Wii U boxart, so the mystery there continues.

Original (6/3): A couple of notable listings went up for physical indie titles on Amazon yesterday. The retailer listed Runbow for Wii U and 3DS, and had a Wii U boxart up for Tumblestone (which was on an Xbox One listing page, strangely).

All of these have since been pulled from Amazon. With Runbow, 13AM Games said that we’ll be hearing more about the game at E3. One of the artists behind Tumblestone also indicated that the developer’s title is indeed getting a retail release. This might have been a case of some misinformation floating around (13AM Games indicated as such) as well as some early listings that weren’t supposed to go live just yet.
