Wii U

Footage of Medli in Hyrule Warriors is starting to come in. Here’s a look at the character specifically from the Wii U version:

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 was first expected on Wii U in March… then this month… and now, it looks to be dated for June 7. That’s what Nintendo has listed on its North American website as well as the European Wii U eShop (9GB by the way). Various retailers also have this date locked in as well, so hopefully there won’t be any further delays!

Last night, news pertaining to the 1.1.6 Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS began to emerge. We learned that the only character affected by the patch is none other than Bayonetta.

thatsmash4moddr and Smashboards have since compiled the lineup of changes associated with Bayonetta. Find the full breakdown below.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition was updated with the new Super Mario Mash-Up Pack this week. Enthusiastic gamers have since started to upload clips to YouTube, but some have encountered issues with copyright strikes.

Developer 4J Studios took to Twitter earlier today and provided an update on the situation. It turns out that these strikes aren’t supposed to happen, and Nintendo even assured the team that it wouldn’t be a problem. They’re now following up with Nintendo on things.

Here’s the tweet straight from 4J:

Warner Bros. has come out with a new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens character vignette for decorated X-wing pilot Poe Dameron, one of the Resistance’s most-trusted operatives. It also features original dialogue from actor Oscar Isaac who plays the character in the movie.

Here’s today’s video:

We found out earlier this week that a new Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS update is on the way. The patch will bring both games up to version 1.1.6.

It’s not out yet, but the files have already popped up on Nintendo’s servers. Random Talking Bush has been going through the contents and seems to have found that Bayonetta is the only changed character. Just two main files are modified: “param/fighter_param_vl_bayonetta.bin” and “fighter/bayonetta/script/animcmd/game.bin”.

In any case, we’ll let you know when the 1.1.6 patch is available for Smash Bros.

Polygon has put up the latest video in its “Devs Make Mario” series. In today’s feature, Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi makes a level in the game. View it below.

Uchikoshi’s Super Mario Maker level is located on the official bookmark site here.

A new user-made Super Mario Maker level has been making the rounds as of late. It’s very impressive (at least in my eyes), so I felt it was worth sharing. One particular section has players fleeing from a creature known as “Bowzilla”, which is arguably the highlight of the course.

Here’s a look at “Super Mario Vs Mecha Bowzilla” by KiavikView:

If you want to play the course for yourself, you can find it on the Super Mario Maker Bookmark site here.

This week’s Famitsu scans are now available. Highlighted games include Culdcept Revolt, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Wii U), Puzzle & Dragons X, Yo-kai Watch 3, Pokemon Sun/Moon, Dragon Ball: Fusions, and Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure. Scans of each title can be found in the gallery below.
