Splatoon – Pokemon Splatfest results to be announced for all regions simultaneously

Usually with each of Splatoon’s Splatfests, the results are announced one hour after the competition ends. But with this weekend’s Pokemon Splatfest, Nintendo is taking a slightly different approach.
Results for all Splatfests – North America, Europe, and Japan – will actually be announced at the same time. Here’s when that’ll happen:
– 11 PM PT (Saturday)
– 2 AM ET (Sunday)
– 7 AM in the UK (Sunday)
– 8 AM in Europe (Sunday)
As for the map rotation, Blackbelly Skatepark, Camp Triggerfish, and Museum d’Alfonsino will be featured.
Super Mario Maker wins Family Game of the Year at the DICE Awards

Only one Nintendo-related game picked up a victory at the DICE Awards earlier tonight. That went to Super Mario Maker, which was chosen as Family Game of the Year.
Splatoon had been nominated for Action Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay. Additionally, Yo-kai Watch and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon saw nominations for Handheld Game of the Year.

Super Mario Maker adds Chitoge Nisekoi costume with new Event Course

Super Mario Maker has just added its latest Event Course and costume. After clearing the “Nisekoi: Chitoge & Kosaki” level, players can unlock the Chitoge Nisekoi outfit.

“This course was created by Naoshi Komi, the author of Nisekoi, a popular manga comic series in the Japanese magazine WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP.
It’s divided into two routes, each based on a different Nisekoi character. Will you choose Chitoge Kirisaki or Kosaki Onodera?”

Another four support Pokemon have been outed in Pokken Tournament. The game will include Yveltal, Latios, Reshiram, and Cresselia among many others.

Pokken Tournament joining competitive Pokemon Championship Series

Today, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company International announced that Pokken Tournament will join the Pokemon Championship Series beginning this spring. For those that are unaware, these tournaments are sanctioned annually by The Pokemon Company International. This year will culminate with the crowning of the Pokken Tournament World Champions in August at the 2016 Pokemon World Championships in San Francisco.
Fans can prepare and even gain entry into the 2016 Pokemon Championship Series is by attending the Pokken Tournament Early Access Competitions hosted by Nintendo at select GameStop locations across the United States on February 27. All winners from the regional tournaments will advance to the finals being held at the Nintendo NY store in New York on March 17. The final two winners of the Pokken Tournament Early Access Competitions will earn travel awards to the 2016 Pokémon US National Championships (July 1-3 in Columbus, Ohio). It’s here that they will battle to advance to the 2016 Pokemon World Championships.

Japan getting its own Splatoon Wii U GamePad protector

Amazon Japan has a listing up for a new Splatoon Wii U GamePad protector from HORI. We received something similar in the west, but this design is a bit different. A cleaning cloth featuring the Squid Sisters is also included in the package.
Based on Amazon Japan’s listing, this product will be available on April 28. The normal price should be around 1,922 yen.
