Axiom Verge’s physical version pushed back a couple of weeks, digital Switch release may go on as planned

The physical version of Axiom Verge was dated for October 17 awhile back. Unfortunately though, a delay is happening. Creator Tom Happ estimates that the physical copies will be pushed back by “a couple of weeks”. Both Switch and Wii U will be affected.

There might be one bright spot here. Happ put out a tweet asking fans if they’d like the digital version to release on the eShop as planned. Based on the Twitter poll, that may very well happen.

So the physical Axiom Verge will be pushed back a couple weeks … but the Switch eShop version can launch early! Should we move it up?

Zelda: Breath of the Wild surpasses sales of Twilight Princess in Japan

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild reached a major milestone in Japan this past week. Based on the latest data from Media Create, it has now outsold Twilight Princess.

Media Create has Breath of the Wild selling a total 576,067 units on Switch. You can add another 133,024 copies for the Wii U version. We should also note that Media Create hasn’t provided an update for the Wii U version in quite some time, so the sales there should be even higher.

Nintendo Network ID login maintenance taking place next week

Another period has been added to Nintendo’s maintenance schedule next week. For about four hours, maintenance will be carried out involving logging in with Nintendo Network IDs.

The schedule is as follows:

– 1 PM PT (September 11) – 5 PM PT (September 11)
– 4 PM ET (September 11) – 8 PM ET (September 11)
– 9 PM in the UK (September 11) – 1 AM in the UK (September 12)
– 10 PM in Europe (September 11) – 2 AM in Europe (September 12)

Earthlock releasing on Wii U soon, Switch version teased

In a statement released today by SnowCastle Games, Earthlock: Festival of Magic is due for release on Wii U on September 7th in Europe. The developers also plan on releasing the game in September 14th in the US.

They have also shared the news that they have secured a Japanese publishing deal that will bring their title over to Japan.

As for Switch, SnowCastle Games teased that fans should stay tuned to news from Cross Function at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.

Super Mario Maker update out now (version 1.46)

A small update is now live for Super Mario Maker, which is version 1.46. It’s a pretty small patch all things considered.

Nintendo’s full rundown of the update is as follows:

– Addressed an issue that caused text in the e-manual to display incorrectly.
– A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience. (Released originally on 4/27/17)
