Splatoon 2’s third North American Splatfest has drawn to a close. Who came away with the win: Team Vampire or Team Werewolf?

The Splatfest was incredibly close across the board. No category was separated by more than just a few points. However, Team Vampire had a clean sweep across the board in votes and wins.

The final result was 3-0 in favor of Team Vampire.

Back during the summer, French website Jeuxvideo interviewed Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma. Although it had some interesting comments, the discussion largely went unnoticed. We decided to follow up with a full translation since we felt that it was a pretty worthwhile interview.

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and art director Satoru Takizawa were the participants this time around. The two were asked about the game’s difficulty in relation to The Master Trials, why Hero’s Path Mode wasn’t in place originally and was instead added as DLC, timeline talk, and even the possibility of Zelda II remake – plus more.

The 2D side-scrolling action game Icey is heading to Switch, FantaBlade Network has announced. It was first made known in a tweet published on the official Twitter account earlier today.


Icey originally released last year, and has been very well received. Learn more about the game below with an official overview and trailer.

The Wall Street Journal published a rather interesting article yesterday. The publication talked about mature / risqué games on Switch, and how Nintendo is very open to having these types of games on the console. Although the full piece is behind a paywall, we do have some excerpts.

The Nintendo Treehouse Log saw a flurry of activitiy this past week. Four separate entries were published on the Tumblr page. Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, Super Mario Odyssey, Monster Hunter Stories, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim alll received some love.

Each one of these blogs updates cover various topics about the games. With Skyrim for example, Nintendo talks about comparisons to Zelda: Breath of the Wild and more.

More and more ads for Super Mario Odyssey have been appearing in Japan during the lead up to the launch. Another billboard located in Shibuya is shown above.

We’ve seen a couple of other billboards over the past few weeks as well. One featured Mario in Shiveria, and another involved Steam Gardens.

Nintendo has shared a new piece of ARKS art today featuring Mechanica, pictured above. The image ties in with the beginning of the fall season. And hey, it’s sized so that it can be used on a smartphone.
