Akihiko Yoshida, longtime character designer, left Square Enix just recently. Yoshida saw a very long tenure with the company having worked there for close to two decades.
In the latest issue of Famitsu, Yoshida explained why he decided to depart from Square Enix. He also spoke about his commitment to Bravely Default even though he’s moved on.
Yoshida told the magazine:
Flyhigh Works is releasing a cheap visual novel game, Harvest December, on the Japanese 3DS eShop next week. Here’s what we know about the title:
– Stars Masaki Konno, a Tokyo-bred boy whose life is suddenly uprooted as he’s forced to move to a heavily snow-laden backwater country town
– Masaki learns that both Gods and mankind live in relative peace and harmony with a female God called Shiro who rides a wolf as one of his encounters
– He also takes an interest in Masaki
– Towada Yuki: one of the town authorities’ daughter
– It’s love at first sight for Masaki and Towada
– 100 yen
– Out on December 18
SEGA’s latest trailer for Hero Bank has revealed a bunch of new information about Hero Bank. The latest details roundup can be found below.
– Kaito Gosho needs to pay off his billion yen debt
– Kaito Gosho enters himself into the Hero Bank to make cash
– Hero Bank is a virtual world where money is king and robots spit out cash when you punch them up in fights to the finish
– Spend money to make money
– Trigger a special attack that’s paid for with your earnings
– Need cash in order to block
– Getting change requires you to run around the ring, which is like a breather moment for both sides
– When this happens, the ring will periodically fill with cash thrown in by spectators
– As you unleash attacks on foes, you’ll also dash cash out of them that you can then scoop up to fuel further attacks
– Seems that players move and fight with the touch screen
– Stand on one of the corners of the rings to exhort the crowd
– At certain points, you’ll also be able to transform into different heroes
– These include a salaryman robot and a middle-aged aunty robot
– Once the enemy’s hit points are depleted, you can pin them for the winning fall and then take your earnings
Double Dragon seems to be heading to both the Wii U and 3DS eShops tomorrow. It was initially expected to only be available for the Wii U VC, but a listing on Nintendo’s site confirms a release on the company’s handheld as well. The game will be available for $4.99.
