Nothing notable at all happened in the gaming industry last week. Nope, absolutely nothing to – wait, hang on, apparently I’m getting word that actually last week was quite possibly one of the biggest weeks for gaming news that we’ve seen all year? And that apparently there was a Nintendo Direct that announced some massive new games, including Pikmin 4 and a brand new Fire Emblem game? And that apparently on top of that some weird niche event called Tokyo Game Show had even more upcoming Switch games to reveal and show off?! Huh – well, I guess it’s time for a new episode of Nintendo Everything Refresh, then! According to a Switch eShop listing, A Frog’s Job will be available on Switch next month. A release is planned for October 7, 2022.
A Frog’s Job is a puzzle platformer with a mix of 2D and 3D visuals. To receive the gift of reincarnation, players must save the lost souls of 40 frogs. They also have the ability to suspend and resume time.
An eShop listing has popped up for Roar of Revenge, a retro-style platformer. Publisher Ratalaika Games and developer SEEP will have it ready to go for Switch on September 23, 2022.

Prodeus was intended to ship on Switch this week, but the game has encountered a last-minute delay.
Only the Switch version has been affected at this time. Humble Games said in a statement that the the team encountered “a pretty gnarly visual bug in the home stretch”, prompting the delay.
Prodeus was intended to launch on September 23, which still appears to be the case for all platforms but Switch. The release date had just been announced last Friday.
Touhou Shoujo: Tale of Beautiful Memories now has a release date on Switch. According to a new eShop listing, the game is slated for September 29, 2022.
While the title only has a store listing in Japan thus far, presumably the date applies to all regions. English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Simplified languages are all supported at launch. If we hear anything different about the western release, we’ll let you know.

Five years after the launch of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Ubisoft is returning with another mashup exclusive on Switch with Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and with the game due out in a matter of months, we’re starting up a pre-order guide that will include any retailer bonuses. The title now takes Mario and the rest of the gang to space to put an end to Cursa, a mysterious and malevolent entity who seeks out energy to further its nefarious plans and is looking to consume all the energy of the Sparks, creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas and Rabbids.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope retains the tactics gameplay of the original, but now features real-time action in battle. The game is also promising a more open-ended adventure. New characters will be playable, including Bowser, Rabbid Rosalina, and the mysterious Rabbid known as Edge.
Tribute Games, the developer of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, has announced that it will release Wizorb on Switch next month. The block-breaking game is due out on October 6, 2022.
Wizorb originally released in 2012, so the title is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
Jupiter today announced the release date for Picross S8. The latest addition to the puzzle series will be available worldwide on September 29, 2022.
Picross S8 lets four users play together on a single Switch system for something that’s a bit different than merely experiencing things alone. The game features 300 Picross and Mega Picross puzzles, 150 Clip Picross piece puzzles, 30 Color Picross puzzles, and 5 Extra puzzles for a total of 485 puzzles. Those that have save data from Picross S4, Picross S5, and Picross S6 can unlock three extra puzzles.
A final release date has come in for Atari Mania, a microgame mashup. Switch owners can pick it up starting on October 13, 2022.
Atari Mania has players taking on the role of the Caretaker of the Atari Vault. It’s up to the player to mend and defend corrupted Atari titles, restoring order to the classic games and avoiding the wrath of the dastardly “dead pixels”.
