Nintendo is the kind of developer that’s not afraid to drastically change gameplay elements in a series. Usually their teams are always implementing new ideas and concepts in each new game. Paper Mario is probably one of the most famous examples – since Super Paper Mario on the Wii, each new game has been different.

Right now on the Switch, you can play the first and the last entries in the Paper Mario series. Seeing how much the franchise has changed over the years, I found it interesting to analyze the many differences in world building between Paper Mario on the N64 and Origami King on Switch, comparing how effective they are. Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars has received a new update on Switch, and it’s brought along some new functionality. After installing the patch, players will have access to a new High Speed mode.

To enable the new mode, simply head on over to options, then “Game Setting”, and make sure that Game Speed is set to “High Speed”. Of course, you can always revert back to “Normal” later.

Ahead of its upcoming launch, publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer DigiTales Interactive have issued a launch trailer for Lacuna. It provides another look at the upcoming noir adventure game for Switch.

Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios have announced that Tropico 6’s Caribbean Skies DLC, the game’s biggest add-on, has gone live on Switch.

The new content introduces new gameplay features as players guide Tropico through five brand new campaign missions, deploying a veritable fleet of airborne minions and meeting an eclectic cast of characters along the way. It contains new buildings, edicts, and traits along with additional palace decorations and outfits for El Presidente.

Warlocks 2: God Slayers is receiving the physical treatment on Switch, Red Art Games announced today.

The title first released on the system back in 2018. This is the first time is will be sold in physical format.

Publisher Leoful and developer Forust have announced that The Company Man, an action platformer and office adventure game, is heading to Switch. It will release in early 2022.

The Company Man, which takes inspiration from the television show “The Office”, has you playing as the young salaryman Jim who starts out at the Good Water Company. He sets out to overthrow his boss and become the CEO as he’s unsatisfied with how the company is run. You’ll launch email attacks against coworkers with a powerful keyboard, run and jump across departments from Human Resources to Marketing, and boost up with coffee beans.

Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have unveiled a new Japanese trailer for .hack//G.U. Last Recode on Switch, showing off some gameplay and the physical Begins Edition. Check it out with the video below the break.

Siactro and Diplodocus Games have announced that 3D platformer Toree 2 is getting a free content update adding three new winter-themed levels. The new update is scheduled to arrive on Switch on December 22. Check out a video showing off the new content below.

Hamster has announced that the latest classic arcade game headed to the Switch eShop via the Arcade Archives label is side-scrolling shoot-’em-up Xexex. Here’s a description of the retro title, courtesy of the International Arcade Museum:
