With rumors of a new Nintendo Switch model for 2021 in full swing, Bloomberg now joins the list of sources stating that a hardware refresh is on the horizon. While we do not have a finalized list of specifications, features of the new model, as we reported earlier, are said to be things like more processing power and the addition of high definition 4k graphics resolution. Whether that will be the case has many wondering if the refresh will be treated like the New 3DS, with titles only accessible for owners of the new and updated console. With the sparse release calendar for first-party software this year, do you think this is what Nintendo has had up their sleeve all along?
Previously slated for an October release, Idea Factory has decided to push the release date for Piofiore: Episodio 1926 to November 12 in Japan. Only citing ” “various circumstances” for the delay, it joins the list of the many games that have seen delayed release dates this year.
While publisher Aksys has not yet given word on a delay for the Western release, which was also supposed to release on October 8th, we will update this post if an announcement is made. SEGA has a second double pack in store for Switch. As revealed by a GameFly listing, another package will be released featuring Sonic Forces and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. It should hit store shelves in October.
This past weekend, the Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack was discovered for Switch, which is also planned for October. You can pre-order it on Amazon here.
The next SEGA Ages game has been dated for Switch – at least in Japan. SEGA announced today that Herzog Zwei will release on August 27 via the eShop. Pricing is set at 999 yen.
A release date for SEGA Ages Herzog Zwei has not been announced for the west at this time. Stay tuned for news regarding the launch in North America and Europe.

Super Kirby Clash is almost one year old. To celebrate, Nintendo and HAL Laboratory have shared more on Aeon Hero, one of the game’s various characters.

NBA 2K21 received its demo on Switch today, and some footage is now available showing it off. Check out the trial via the video below.
While NBA 2K21’s demo is currently available, the full game is planned for September 4.
Much of the talk surrounding Super Nintendo World has been its debut location at Universal Studios Japan. Construction is all but complete in the area. It’s just a matter of when the park will open, as it’s been impacted by the coronavirus – much like a lot of other things this year.
Aside from Japan, Super Nintendo World will eventually open in other parts of the world, including Universal Studios Hollywood. It’s unclear when it’ll open, but the first set design piece / mountain facade has been spotted.
