Bandai Namco will be making announcements regarding Dragon Ball FighterZ in August as part of the Dragon Ball FighterZ Show, the company revealed during a Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable live stream today.
So far, Goku (Ultra Instinct) and Kefla have been released as part of FighterZ Pass 3. Three more characters are planned, though their identities haven’t been shared. We should be learning about upcoming DLC for FighterZ Pass 3 and potentially more in August.
Samurai Showdown will have a third Season Pass, SNK announced during a Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable live stream today. Specifics regarding upcoming characters were not revealed.
Samurai Shodown Season Pass 2 featured Mina Majikina, Sogetsu Kazama, Iroha, and Warden. Gongsun Li from Honor of Kings is also coming up as a free DLC character on August 5.
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have updated with the latest Wild Area event. Players can now encounter Water and Ground-type Pokemon in the various dens. You’ll be able to battle the likes of Gigantamax Sandaconda, Drednaw and more.
There’s no word yet on when the event ends, but it should last a good while.
Atooi Collection was announced last June. It’s a physical release featuring five games on one cartridge: Mutant Mudds, Mutant Mudds: Super Challenge, Bomb Monkey, Xeodrifter, and Chicken Wiggle. A year has gone by, but we finally have an update from distributor Limited Run Games.
Keeping in line with many releases from Limited Run Games, a collector’s edition is planned. It will contain alternate covers, a 4-disc original soundtrack, sticker set, and a Mutant Mudds Deluxe Game Decks (Gold Edition) board game.
Pre-orders for Atooi Collection open with a standard version and collector’s edition on August 7 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. There’ll be another reservation period at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET.

A few new elements were added with the latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons update, including the dream feature. Players can now upload their islands online that can be visited by others via dreams. Although nothing is permanent while visiting in a dream, it’s another way to share what you’ve created with others.
Something to keep in mind is that, based on user reports, Nintendo is being serious when it comes to taking down islands involving cheating or hacking in any manner. Any behavior the company doesn’t condone – even if it’s only used for decorative purposes – will still be removed.
