Original: A New 2DS XL Hylian Shield Edition is on the way, Nintendo has announced. Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will come pre-installed.

The system is launching in North America on July 2, though it will only be sold at GameStop. Pricing is set at $159.99.

These days, Retro Studios is looked at fondly having made one of the most unexpectedly great games in Metroid Prime, followed by two sequels and a pair of Donkey Kong Country games. Things didn’t always start off so well, however. We know that the company cancelled a few different GameCube projects prior to the system’s launch, which was sparked by turmoil within the studio that even carried through after Metroid Prime’s release.

There were a myraid of issues with Retro initially. Founder Jeff Spangenberg was barely present, those initial projects had barely progressed after nearly two years of development, the team had a lack of access to GameCube development kits, and there were plenty of management issues.

Ukuza published a new launch trailer for Epic Loon, arriving June 28 on Switch. We’ve attached the video below.

In Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, Nintendo will allow players to choose a gender. The option is presented at the start of the campaign.

Of course, the gender option carries over to multiplayer as well. Once the DLC launches, you’ll be able to choose between male and female version of the Octolings or Inklings.

A new Mega Man amiibo is on the way, Capcom has revealed. It will be sold standalone as well as with the Mega Man 11 Collector’s Package in Japan. Aside from the amiibo, a guide book and poster will be included.

Capcom has issued the boxart for Mega Man 11. We have the packaging image above, plus new screenshots and art below.

Mega Man 11

Mega Man 11 is releasing on October 3, Capcom announced today. Rumors about the release date first emerged last week following a new listing on the PlayStation Store in Singapore.

Capcom has also confirmed the new Double Gear system. This feature “adds a unique new twist on the satisfying platforming action, offering options to enhance Mega Man’s speed and power on the fly.”

FIFA 18

FIFA 18’s big World Cup update is live on Switch. Unfortunately, it might be impacted by issues for some.

Affected players are reporting that after installing today’s update, freezes and crashes have started. This isn’t just limited to Switch as users on other platforms are experiencing similar problems. However, not every player has encountered issues, and everything on their end is working fine.
