Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura has been downloaded over 50,000 times, series producer Kenichiro Takaki revealed on Twitter.

The game is currently being distributed on the Switch eShop, though only in Japan. Soon after its release, Shinobi Refle quickly climbed to the top of the eShop charts.

Over on the Japanese eShop, a listing shows a new Switch game from Poketto. The company is releasing Boxy Racers on January 25 for 980 yen.

Boxy Racers is a racing game with block-like voxel visuals. It has two steering modes: handle mode and stick mode. The latter lets you drift easily just by using a stick.

PQube and Inti Creates have announced a special collector’s edition for Gal*Gun 2. The two sides will be releasing the “Free Hugs Edition” this year.

It comes with the following:

– A copy of the game
– High quality presentation collector’s box
– Official art book
– Official soundtrack CD
– Huggable Mr. Happiness plushie
– Pin-badge set
– Double-sided “Gaming Accessories Pouch”

The Gal*Gun 2 Free Hugs Edition will be sold exclusively on the Rice Digital online store. North American and European versions can be pre-ordered here.

Aegis Defenders is coming to Switch, a listing on the North American Switch eShop reveals. Humble Bundle should be publishing the GUTS Department-developed game on February 8 for $19.99. You can actually pre-load it right now.

Aegis Defenders has you playing as a team of Ruinhunters who are searching for the legendary weapon known as the Aegis to save their village. The title itself features a mix of action-platformer and tower defense strategy gameplay.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux boxart

Atlus has announced a western release date for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. In the Americas, it’s scheduled for May 15. The European release will follow on May 18.

TorqueL, a 2D “rolling and extend” platformer / action-puzzle game, made it to the Japanese Wii U eShop a little over a year ago. That same game is now coming to Switch with HD Rumble support. Based on a new eShop listing, TorqueL: Physics Modified Edition will be available on February 1.

It’s unclear if TorqueL will be distributed outside of Japan, but the entire game is in English. You shouldn’t have any trouble playing if this one happens to pique your interest.

D3Publisher has a bunch of games in the pipeline for Switch. One of these is Tennis, which the Japanese eShop shows is launching next week. It’s slated for January 25 at an 800 yen price point.

Tennis is an accessible tennis game, as the name supplies. It supports standard controllers, Joy-Con motion controls, and touchscreen support. Eight characters are in the game along with various modes.

Last August, Zerodiv brought the arcade title Strikers 1945 to Switch. Its sequel will soon be appearing on the console as well.

Like its predecessor, Strikers 1945 II is a vertically-scrolling shooter. You’ll choose from one of six fighter planes, and take down enemies with machine guns and bombs in randomly-selected stages.

Strikers 1945 II is lined up for January 25 on Switch. We’ve included some screenshots from the game below.

Wired Productions has announced a new partnership with Flashbulb Games and StageClear Studios to bring Max: The Curse of Brotherhood to retail. You’ll be able to purchase the game physically starting March 23. Pricing is set at $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, “a cinematic adventure filled with action-packed platforming and creative puzzle-solving”, launched on the eShop last month. The digital version can be purchased for $14.99.
