If there’s one thing Harvest Moon fans have been critical of with Light of Hope, it’d be the graphics. The game doesn’t quite have a 3D look. At the same time, it doesn’t have 2D art either.

Natsume vice president of operations Graham Markay commented on Harvest Moon: Light of Hope’s graphics in an interview with PC Gamer. He noted that “Harvest Moon has never been about graphics,” and the series instead relays the message “that hard work gets rewarded.”

btf only just started its Kickstarter for Truberbrook this week. Despite that, the funding goal has already exceeding its original asking amount. Truberbrook needed roughly $94,000 to success, but is already over $150,000 with close to a month left in the campaign.

Truberbrook is a mystery sci-fi adventure game with hand-crafted scenes. Here’s the general premise, for those who missed it the first time around:

“Imagine yourself on a vacation to Europe in the late sixties. Now, picture yourself as a young American scientist; Hans Tannhauser. Yes, that’s your name in this scenario. While you’re at it, think of Trüberbrook, a remote village in rural, mountain-sloped and densely forested cold-war Germany. Because, that’s where you somehow end up after hitting the continent. But who cares, you won the trip in a lottery! Or at least, that’s how it seems. But don’t fear, instead of getting some rest, you could find yourself having to save the world…”

Headup Games will be publishing Truberbrook on Switch when development is finished. The project is currently targeted for late 2018.

Media Create has offered a little bit of additional information about sales in Japan during the week of November 6. Specifically, we have news about hardware sales.

We know that Switch sold 80,000 in Japan last week. According to Media Create, the Super Mario Odyssey bundle itself sold 24,000 units.

Overall hardware sales in Japan came in at 130,000, which is 110.43% as much as the previous week. That Super Mario Odyssey bundle was a contributing factor and helped offset the decrease of other hardware.

The fourth North American Splatfest in Splatoon 2 has come to an end. In the latest event, players were asked if they prefer sci-fi or fantasy.

The final score was 1 point for Team Sci-Fi and 2 points for Team Fantasy.

Not too long ago, Polygon was able to speak with Shigeo Maruyama. Maruyama was previously the chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment and the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment. He was present way back in the day when negotiations were taking place with Nintendo about working on a gaming system together.

As we know, Nintendo and Sony’s partnership wasn’t meant to be. Nintendo went in its own direction, as did Sony. Maruyama reflected on those initial conversations with Nintendo in a recent interview with Polygod, in which he stated:
