GameXplain held a live stream earlier today to show off the final English version of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The full recording, containing 49 minutes of footage, can be found below.
A couple of months ago, Swap Fire was offered entirely free on the Wii U eShop. This was intentional, as Midnight Status was looking to raise awareness for the game.
The shooter has sold under 500 paid copies on Wii U since its debut. When it was made free though, it was downloaded 20,000 times. Midnight Status isn’t completely done with Swap Fire as another update is planned. At the same time, the indie developer is starting to shift its attention to the future.
By making Swap Fire free, Midnight Status is winning over new fans, some of whom have shown interest in buying the game for Switch. The studio says investors have been impressed, but want market validation for Swap Fire 2 to ensure that it’ll see solid sales on Switch. Midnight Status is therefore planning a “short but sweet” Kickstarter campaign, which if successful, will have its remaining funds sourced from investors.
Konami kept up with its TurboGrafx-16 releases on the Wii U Virtual Console last week with Bonk’s Revenge. Take a look at some footage below.
Hallmark is preparing some special Super Mario ornaments. One picture shows Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi.
Mario and Yoshi are both up on Hallmark’s website here. Mario should be available starting July 15, while Yoshi is coming later on October 7. Luigi will apparently be sold in October as well, but it’s not on Hallmark’s site just yet.

The Pokemon Company International has announced that Wicked Cool Toys has been appointed as master toy licensee for the Pokemon brand beginning in July 2018. Other than regions in Asia, Wicked Cool Toys will have the rights to manufacture and market action figures, play sets, plush, roleplay items, and other toys based on the franchise in worldwide markets.
As part of the partnership, The Pokemon Company International has become a strategic investor in Wicked Cool Toys and will have a seat on the toy company’s board of directors. The overall relationship “will allow for enhanced collaboration in the development of Pokemon toys with the growing toy company.”
Corcell Technology sent out the first screenshots of its upcoming Switch game AeternoBlade II. Have a look at the various images below.
Corcell confirmed AeternoBlade II for Switch last month. The studio decided to pursue Nintendo’s new console, but scrapped plans for a 3DS version.

Last year, Dark Witch Music: Rudymical ended up on mobile devices. It’s based on the rhythm mini-game from The Legend of Dark Witch 2 which is currently out now on 3DS.
The same title is now coming to Switch as “Dark Witch Music Episode: Rudymical”. It’s listed for May 11 on Nintendo’s website.
