Mario Kart is the all-time best-selling racing franchise in the U.S.
Another piece of significant information has been reported stemming from the April 2017 NPD report. According to Mat Piscatella, an analyst for the company, Mario Kart is the all-time best-selling racing franchise in the U.S.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the best-selling game in the U.S. last month despite being on the market for just two days. In that short period, over 460,000 physical units sold. With digital sales included, the total exceeds 550,000 units.
One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition was confirmed for Europe earlier this week. Now we can say the same for North America as well.
Like in Europe, One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition will be out sometime in September. However, it’ll be a digital only title in the states. The good news is that Switch is region free, so if you’re interested in a physical version, you can import it from Europe.
Inti Creates released the first trailer for Mighty Gunvolt Burst on 3DS. Have a look at the video below.
Over on the Inti Creates blog, a ton of details are provided about Mighty Gunvolt Burst. Head past the break for the full rundown.
Update: Added in additional details and trailer below from the Inti Creates blog. This will be a worldwide release on August 31.
Original: Aside from Mighty Gunvolt Burst, Inti Creates is revealing a second brand new Switch release at BitSummit. Today, the company announced Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, another title (or should we say titles?) for Switch.
Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack may sound familiar as it originally came out on 3DS last year. This was a retail package that featured both Azure Striker Gunvolt games.
On Switch, the two Azure Striker Gunvolt games are once again included. Striker Pack will feature HD Rumble, new music, and DLC from the 3DS release this time around.
Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack launches in Japan on August 31. We’ll update this post when we have additional information, which should be very soon.

In a new interview with USGamer, Nintendo’s Kenta Nakanishi spoke about what the Fire Emblem team would like to improve on in the future.
The first element Nakanishi highlighted are character growth rates. About this feature, he said:
“One of the things we want to improve on in the future is the growth rate of the characters. We changed the growth rate by two times or three times from the original; but we’ve heard feedback that it wasn’t enough, so that’s something we will keep in mind for the future.”
In a new interview with Polygon, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia director Kenta Nakanishi spoke about the newly released remake.
Nakanishi told the site that Intelligent Systems wanted “to integrate things that we couldn’t do with Fire Emblem Fates on the 3DS platform.” That caused the team to look back on the past. Fire Emblem Gaiden was a game that resonated with Intelligent Systems and Nakanishi in particular since his father – who died when he was a child – had passed the game on to him.
