While we did not really get any Pokemon Sun & Moon news out of this month’s CoroCoro, we did get something: Magearna, the new Pokemon that was revealed a while ago, has been confirmed to be a Steel/Fairy type. Many suspected it would have this typing due to its appearance, but it’s nice to have official confirmation.

Update: In slightly related news, here’s an update on the Pokemon Elections pertaining to the movies from Serebii:

For the Pokémon Elections, announced last month, it is confirmed that the distribution Pokémon at the movie will be the winner. To enter, you need to get a card when prebooking the ticket and then send your vote in before May 8th. The winner will be announced in June and then distributed at the movie

In last month’s issue of CoroCoro, the magazine announced that its coverage of Pokemon Sun & Moon would start with this month’s issue. The first partial scan of said issue has come out and sadly, it doesn’t reveal much at all. In fact, it mostly seem to tease next month’s issue, where apparently the game’s covers will be revealed.

That said, we don’t have any full scans yet so they might still hold some new info, but I personally wouldn’t count on too much being revealed this month if they’re even saving the covers (and thus the first look at any Pokemon) for the next issue. Nonetheless, we will keep you updated should any other interesting news come out of this month’s issue.

Scans of this month’s issue of CoroCoro are starting to leak and one of them concerns the next mainline Yo-kai Watch game. Yo-Kai Watch 3 was already announced a while ago, but thanks to the scans we now know that the game will be released in Japan on July 16th. Furthermore, like many recent Yo-kai Watch games, it will be released as two versions: Yo-kai Watch 3 Sushi and Yo-kai Watch 3 Tempura.

Pokémon Comaster, the previously annonced mobile Pokémon board game, is now out in Japan. The object of the game is to beat your opponent’s figurines with your own, taking over the board. The game is free-to-play, although microtransactions will give you a chance at getting better figures. The game supports both online and local multiplayer. We’ll update with more important details as they arrive.
