Nintendo of America has commented on the decision to not include a charger with 3DS XL units.
In a statement provided to IGN, the company explained:
“New Nintendo 3DS XL uses the same AC adapter as any Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DSi system. Rather than raise cost of New Nintendo 3DS XL by charging consumers for a component they may already own, we are giving them the option to only buy if they need an AC adapter.”

New 3DS pre-orders are now starting to go live. GameStop is the first retailer to be taking reservations, but we’ll keep this post updated throughout the day.

Capcom has another game lined up for the Wii U Virtual Console. On February 12, Breath of Fire will be available.
The next closest classic title from Capcom is Street Fighter 2010. As we already mentioned, this one is due out tomorrow.
Capcom is bringing Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight to the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow, Nintendo’s website confirms. The game will be available for $4.99.
A new puzzle is now available for 3DS systems. Nintendo has started sending out a Monster Hunter panel via SpotPass, so make sure you have Wi-Fi enabled. The puzzle can be accessed in the StreetPass Mii Plaza.
Super Mario 3D World isn’t the only Nintendo game to have received a discount on the eShop. Pushmo World and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 are on sale, too.
