Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight will be seeing a cameo appearance in Hex Heroes, Prismatic Games has confirmed. The character will presumably be available as another character skin in the game.
In other news, Prismatic has been hosting a Reddit AMA for Hex Heroes. You can find it right here.
Tecmo Koei is using the Zelda series for Nintendo’s upcoming Dynasty Warriors-styled Wii U game, Hyrule Warriors. But Zelda isn’t the only prominent IP the company has interest in utilizing.
“Disney, Star Wars and Mario are just a few of the various franchises we’d like to work with,” Tecmo Koei vice president Hibashi Kinuma told ONM this month.
Before Tecmo Koei can even begin considering other partnerships and crossovers, work on Hyrule Warriors will need to be completed first. That game is scheduled to arrive later this year.
Thanks to joclo for the tip.
In North America, Star Parodier can no longer be purchased from the Wii Shop Channel. We’re not sure why or when the game was removed. Can anyone confirm that this is the case in Europe as well?

There are a number of Wii and DS games that offer free downloadable content. For instance, players can download a bunch of additional puzzles for Picross 3D and Professor Layton at no extra costs.
If this DLC interests you, you’ll need to grab it before the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection closes on May 20. While paid DLC will still be accessible, free content will be good for good.
A Nintendo representative told NintendoWorldReport:
“The bonus Layton puzzles and such will no longer be available. So you need to get them before the service shuts down. Paid stuff will still be available, though (Wii Shop Channel, etc.).”
