Wales Interactive’s first two Wii U projects have received tentative release windows. Gravity Badgers is currently on track to release in February, and Master Reboot could follow in March.
Those two games are just the start of Wales Interactive’s plans for Wii U. Managing director David Banner told Nintendo Life that a “3D Sci-fi game called Infinity Runner” and a Master Reboot sequel are due out on the eShop later this year.
Regarding the team’s experience working with Nintendo thus far, Banner said:
I can honestly say that Nintendo have been brilliant all across the board for us. Since we approached them to potentially make games for the Wii U they have been very supportive and really open to working with indie companies. Once we’d identified the titles they were interested in they helped us with the registration process and getting development kits. Their submission system is very well documented and there is always someone on hand, just an email away, to answer your questions and troubleshoot problems. The whole experience has been very positive for us and it definitely encourages us to want to make more games for the Wii U.
Banner also mentioned that the Wii U is “deceptively powerful and it’s run everything we’ve thrown at it so far”. The eShop itself, meanwhile is potentially “vital for our continued growth as a indie video games developer”.

Top UK retailers have weighed in on what Nintendo must do in order to improve the Wii U’s fortunes. Two common elements seemed to come about: a lower price and the release of Mario Kart 8.
The games boss of one of the UK’s biggest retailers told MCV:
“A sub-£200 machine will help, and Mario Kart is desperately needed to reach the fans. We also need something revolutionary that makes use of the second screen and has mainstream appeal, which is easier said than done.”
Another statement comes from the top buyer at one online games store:
“There is only one real last chance for Wii U and it is Mario Kart 8. It could still be the game that sparks interest in Wii U, but it would need to be combined with a more mass market retail price.”
And a third comment from a games executive at a mass market outlet:
“£199 and Mario Kart 8. Simple.”
Lastly, Xbite boss Steve Thomas added:
“Nintendo will have something up its sleeves that again will add a new dimension to gaming.”

European ratings board PEGI has listed “Inazuma Eleven” for 3DS in its database.
It doesn’t appear to be related to the upcoming release of Team Ogre Attacks, and interestingly, the name was filed by Level-5 International America. Nintendo of Europe has been associated all previous Inazuma Eleven ratings, but not this one.
It’s even more interesting when you consider that “Inazuma Eleven” was recently listed on Nintendo’s US site. Although it was eventually removed, today’s PEGI rating may indicate that some sort of new Inazuma Eleven product is coming to North America and Europe.
