Mighty No. 9 finally launched today, but things haven’t exactly been going smoothly. On Wii U, some players have been reporting various issues. Perhaps most concerning is that the game is apparently bricking some consoles.

Publisher Deep Silver appears to be aware of at least some of the issues facing Mighty No. 9, and thankfully, a patch is already being deployed. We’re hearing that it’s already out in Europe, with North America to follow by day’s end.

An official statement from Deep Silver reads:

“We’re aware of some isolated incidents of consumers experiencing issues on Wii U, and they’re actually being addressed in a patch that’s deploying out on Wii U systems today. The patch is already live in Europe, and should be hitting U.S. before the end of the day.”

Minecraft: Wii U Edition’s Battle Mini Game is out now. On top of that, a new update has been made available. The full patch notes can be found below.

As a side note, players should be aware of some issues surrounding the new Battle Mini Game – specifically joining public Battle Mini Games. 4J Studios put up a note on Twitter earlier today saying they’re working with Nintendo on the problem.

HullBreach Studios has pinned down a release date for SDK Paint version 4. The new update is currently scheduled for June 23.

Pokken Tournament received a new update last night, bringing the game up to version 1.3. Some people have since been poking through the files to see if there’s anything interesting hidden away.

Reddit user BananaMuffinFrenzy did manage to come across some potentially interesting things. First, the inclusion of a “evt_sphit_Scizor” file was found. There were also a few other noteworthy files:

btlseq_en.drp\evt_395_iwakudaki_hit
btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_darkhole_throw_catch
btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_darkpulse_hit
btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_darkpulse_hold_hit
btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_exATK_hit

Empoleon is 395 in the Pokedex, and ”Iwakudaki” is Rock Smash. Darkrai is 491 in the Pokedex, and can use Dark Pulse and Dark Void (Dark Hole in Japanese).

These findings have people speculating about Scizor, Empoleon, and Darkrai being added to Pokken Tournament. It remains to be seen what will actually happen in the future, however.

Pokken Tournament has received a new update. If you have the game, you can now download version 1.3. A little over 200MB of free space is required.

Today’s update makes a number of changes to the roster across the board. Continue on below for the full breakdown.

Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge has received a new update on Wii U. To download it, you’ll need 40MB of free space. The update brings Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge to version 1.1.0.

We had previously heard that there were issues with the Skylanders Bowser and Donkey Kong amiibo in the game. There’s a good chance that the patch addresses those problems.

Thanks to Cameron for the tip.

The newest update for Splatoon is now live. Players can now download version 2.8.0.

We’ve covered this update quite a bit in recent weeks. Of course, the main highlight of Sheldon’s Picks Vol.2. Nintendo has also balanced weapons and gear abilities, adjusted stages, and made other fixes.

If you missed them, the full patch notes can be found below.

If you happen to own Disney Infinity 3.0, a new update should be awaiting you. I imagine that the patch makes room for the Finding Dory content. Perhaps this will be the final update for the game…
