Warner Bros. Interactive has pulled back the curtain on LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. The game will be released this fall on Wii U, 3DS, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS Vita, and PC.

Here’s an official overview of the game:

In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics Universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest super heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brainiac before it’s too late.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will include over 150 characters from the DC Comics universe, including members of the Justice League and LEGO big figures such as Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy, and more. “Fans of all ages will be able to control their favorite heroes and villains with new gadgets and abilities,” Warner Bros. said in its announcement. “Brainiac’s mind controlling abilities and the power of the Lantern rings bring unexpected twists to the classic characters’ personalities.”

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham also allows players to visit iconic locations including the Hall of Justice, the Batcave and the Justice League Watchtower. Additionally, it’ll be possible to access Batman’s training modules on the Bat Computer and take part in various challenges, battles and races.

In a new tweet published by Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter account, the company has confirmed plans to create a YouTube affiliate program. Nintendo intends to split advertising proceeds with video creators sometime in the future. We don’t have many details at this time, though we’ll be sure to keep you updated on additional developments.

Today’s showcased item is the rocket belt from Pilotwings and features a cameo from the Streetpass Quest II boss! Sakurai had this to say:

The rocket belt from Pilotwings lets you fly upward by jumping. This is a really useful item for characters that have weaker recoveries. By the way, is that cape fireproof?

Today’s screenshot shares an interesting little tidbit about one of the mainstay Super Smash Bros. assets – the revival platforms. Sakurai explains the upgrade:

Here’s a look at the revival platforms. The color of the bottom mechanism changes from yellow to red to warn you how much time you have left before you drop into the fray.

On May 20th, GameSpy ceased all maintenance for multiplayer services that they previously hosted, marking the end of online support for Wii and DS titles and the end of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) era. Since its launch in November 2005, the little blue circle on the boxes of our beloved franchises have signified the ability to participate in matchmaking online and experience Nintendo’s first real take at online gaming. From Friend Codes to Nintendo branded Wi-Fi dongles, let’s take a look back at some of the best WFC had to offer in all its WEP encrypted, Wii Speak glory.

Fit Music for Wii U arrived on the North American Wii U eShop this Thursday. Unfortunately, it’s not very good.

Oxygen Media might be making things worse for themselves by astroturfing on Miiverse. At this point, many believe that the company is promoting Fit Music for Wii U in a secretive way and trying to marketing the game virally.

Check out the above comment for example. That comes from Mario Spiniello… who just so happens to be “a multimedia specialist” for Oxygen Media. There are sadly plenty of similar comments like this, most of which come from Italy – where the company is based.

I can’t see this ending well!
