Today’s screenshot features Mii Quest’s Dark Emporer once again, as Sakurai explains a cool tie-in to the 3DS software:

The Nintendo Everything News Bulletin returns! Here’s a quick video covering the latest character in Hyrule Warriors, Dragon Quest X for 3DS, and the new 3DS update. Kind of had to rush through this one a bit, so I’ll try to make the next one better!

Now on with the video:

Update: Added more screenshots. The Japanese page also reveals new character Girii, who is the Super-Secret Bases master.

A new/returning feature has been revealed for Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: “Super-Secret Bases”.

In the 3DS remakes, players can create a Secret Base all to their own. You’ll be able to select and place Decorations, use Decorations to create tricks in your Secret Base, decide the rules for what kind of Pokemon battles are allowed there, and make it like your very own Pokemon Gym. Players can challenge you here as well.

First screenshots from the Super-Secret Bases can be found above. An official post from the Pokemon website with a bunch of additional information is located below.

Palutena gets the spotlight twice today as Sakurai shows off her huge up-smash attack:

I talked about an attack with a far reach in yesterday’s post, but it didn’t compare to Palutena’s up smash attack! No joke, it reaches really far. It reached so far in this shot that even the rocketbarrels got blown up.

However, it appears it’s not without drawbacks:

That said, if we’re talking just about range, even that can’t beat Palutena’s power, Heavenly Light. It has quite a damage field. However, this is a no-flinch attack, which means the opponents won’t react to the damage!

Dragon Quest X for 3DS

Dragon Quest X is coming to the 3DS, Square Enix announced today. The game will be available in Japan on September 4 for 3,800 yen.

On 3DS, Dragon Quest X looks to be the same full-fledged experience currently available on Wii U, Wii, and PC. You’ll also be able to play the handheld release with players in the other versions.

Also worth noting, Dragon Quest X for 3DS makes use of streaming technology. 3D will not be supported.

Update: There might be more to this update than originally thought. Check out this interesting tweet from developer Syrenne McNulty:

Nintendo has released a new system update for 3DS, bringing the firmware up to version 8.0.0-18. It’s nothing too major though – Nintendo’s website states that it makes “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments” in order “to enhance the user experience”.

Note that you’ll need to download today’s firmware in order to access the 3DS eShop.

This month’s digital rewards on Club Nintendo have gone live. Members can choose from Kid Icarus (3DS, 200 coins), Metal Torrent (3DS, 200 coins), Donkey Kong Jr. (Wii U, 200 coins), and Paper Mario (Wii/Wii U, 250 coins). These items last through August 3.

Visit this page to order a downloadable game.

Koei Tecmo appears to be readying another character reveal for Hyrule Warriors. The game’s official Twitter account teased that the probability of an announcement is 98%, and fans are advised to check out this week’s issue of Famitsu.

Expect the news to leak out as early as tomorrow. As always, we’ll have the news here as soon as it breaks.
