A specific team inside Treyarch works on the Call of Duty Wii U games
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 1 Comment
Treyarch has been making the Nintendo versions of Call of Duty games for years now.
For the Wii U Call of Duty releases, a specific team inside the studio handles all aspects of development. The group started out as a Wii team, but turned into a Wii U team for the creation of Black Ops II. Ghosts was also made by the same set of staffers.
When asked who created Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U, Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin said:
Treyarch. Treyarch has a Wii U team specifically for just doing Wii U. That’s all they do. They only do the Wii U games for every title. It was a Wii team that turned into a Wii U team. But still, yeah, five platforms.

Wii Fit U causing lock up issues when transferring save data from Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Some users have been expereicning lock up issues with Wii Fit U due to issues stemming from Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus save transfers.
At the very least, Nintendo is aware of the situation. The Big N says you may encounter problems if any of the following conditions are met:
Two or more sets of user data were created in Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus and the data created earlier was deleted.
A Mii character used in Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus is registered in the Wii U Mii Maker.
The data from Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus is transferred to the Wii U.
One would hope that a patch is already in the works. Hopefully we’ll see an update soon!

Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Over 1 million Disney Infinity Starter Packs have been sold since launch, it has been confirmed. Walt Disney Company chairman and CEO Bob Iger revealed the news during the company’s post-earnings release conference call yesterday.
According to Iger, retailers have been experiencing regular sell-outs. Walt Disney senior executive VP and CFO Jay Rasulo added that the holidays will be a significant period for Disney Infinity, but “we feel good about its prospects so far” based on feedback from retailers, consumers, and gamers.”
Disney Infinity boosted Disney Interactive’s gaming sector during the fourth quarter of its fiscal year, with revenues rising from 93 percent to $396 million. Operating profit came in at $16 million, which is a significant turnaround from last year’s $76 million loss.
Overall sales are up 26 percent to $1.1 billion. Operating losses, meanwhile, lowered from $216 million to $87 million.
