Nintendo reportedly skipping E3 2023 entirely

Nintendo has always been a big part of E3, but rumor has it that the Big N will be skipping this year’s trade show. That’s according to IGN, who “has heard from multiple knowledgeable sources that Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo won’t be part of E3 2023 or have presence on the Los Angeles Convention Center showfloor.”
E3 has not been the powerhouse that it was since the coronvirus pandemic started in 2020. After attempting an online-only version in 2021, the show was scrapped entirely for 2022. Now E3 is looking to make a big return for 2023, but if none of the console manufactures are there, that would certainly hurt.

Another clip has come online for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and it includes a first look at Cat Mario plus Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong.
The scene in question stems from the second trailer in which Mario and Donkey Kong are battling it out. Originally, we saw that Mario was getting the beatdown. However, in today’s clip, it turns out that he turns the tide with a power-up. After hitting the Question Block, Mario takes on his Cat Mario form.

Klonoa series director Tsuyoshi Kobayashi has provided new insight into how the franchise came to be. Kobayashi spoke about this in a recent issue of Lost In Cult.
Interestingly, Bandai Namco was originally working on a game that would have been based on a different IP. However, after that didn’t work out, they had to replace the characters. That led the team to hold an internal competition to create a new character that would eventually become Klonoa.

If you’re a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscriber, you can play it right now. For some, this will be their first time reexperiencing the game since its release over two decades ago. If you’re one of those people that played GoldenEye 007 when it first came out and have now started it up on Switch, how do you feel it holds up? Is it as good as you remember? And for new players, what are your thoughts on the game that has often been labeled as a true classic? Let us know in the comments.

Purple Lamp wants to do more with SpongeBob after Cosmic Shake
Posted on 1 year ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
When you think of the bigger SpongeBob SquarePants games these days, Purple Lamp should come to mind. The studio worked on Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated in 2020, and is now about to release The Cosmic Shake just a couple of years later.
Despite having put out a pair of 3D platformers based on the franchise (though one was a remake) relatively close together, it sounds like the developer would like to continue working with the IP going forward. Andreas “AJ” Jarzabek, project manager, Purple Lamp Studios, told Nintendo Everything in a recent interview that it still has plenty of ideas left in the tank.
