Nintendo Everything Podcast 098

This week on Nintendo Everything Podcast, Tokyo Game Show 2020 is in full swing and we aim to be your go-to Nintendo podcast of two friends yelling at each other. Age of Calamity and Monster Hunter: Rise are really doing it for us – especially Hyrule Warriors Impa. But until those games come out, we’ve got the big Halloween Animal Crossing update. Also, a mega-corporation buying a developer/publisher that has no problems developing/publishing on their own is never good for consumers.

Check out links and timestamps below and come hang out.

If you’re enjoying NEP, please consider giving us a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts and share us with a friend. It’s incredibly helpful in getting us exposed to new listeners through algorithms, so we would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for listening!

As far as we know, Nintendo has revealed its full slate of games for the rest of 2020. Perhaps there will be a smaller title added in or a surprise like Bravely Default II isn’t delayed, but I think it’s safe to say that there won’t be any major surprises.

Things do at least seem a lot more encouraging now than they did earlier in the year. Over the past few weeks, we’ve found out about Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Super Mario 3D All-Stars (which just launched), Mario Kart Live, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Throw in extras like the Cadence of Hyrule physical release, Super Mario Bros. 35 and Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros., and the lineup is at least fairly packed.

What are you planning on picking up and playing as far as Nintendo releases from Nintendo this year? Have you already started going through Super Mario 3D All-Stars? Let us know in the comments below.

Nintendo eShop

No More Robots has quite a bit of experience with Switch having published four games. This year alone the company has brought Not Tonight: Take Back Control Edition, Yes, Your Grace, Nowhere Prophet, and Hypnospace Outlaw to the system.

With everything learned thus far, No More Robots’ co-founder Mike Rose published a lengthy thread on Twitter today that gives very interesting insight into the eShop. Rose discussed sales and discounts, the importance of Metacritic, and much more.
