Inscryption could be releasing on Switch based on a new rating. The game seems to have recently received a PEGI rating, the official video game content rating system used in Europe.

Twitter user @gemucafe spotted the rating on PEGI’s official website, with the listing mentioning the Nintendo Switch and a release date of October 1, 2022. While this date obviously isn’t correct, the existence of the listing itself could hint at an eventual release on the platform.

Publisher Untold Tales and developer Wildboy Studios have announced that their latest game, ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree, will be coming to Switch. The title is set to release in early 2023.

ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree is a hand-drawn adventure game that draws inspiration from Norse mythology. The game has a heavy narrative focus but also dabbles in puzzle-solving and features a unique rhythm game-based combat system.

Kong Studios has released a launch trailer for their free-to-play retro-style JRPG, Guardian Tales. The game is releasing today on Switch.

Here is an overview for the game:

A few months ago, Nintendo announced the planned acquisition of visual content company Dynamo Pictures, with the intent to integrate it into Nintendo under the name “Nintendo Pictures”. That acquisition has just closed today, with Nintendo revealing a new logo, opening an official Japanese website, and releasing some information on the new division.

For the most part, they’ve reiterated what was said in the original acquisition statement; the plan is to have Nintendo Pictures produce visual content based on Nintendo IP, although what kind still hasn’t been specified. The website does also state that they’ll provide motion capture recording services, which was a field Dynamo Pictures worked in, but is otherwise mostly barren.

The latest batch of content to hit Pokemon Masters EX has been revealed, with new events featuring Galar-based characters taking the spotlight. Currently available are a new Solo Event based on Gordie, Melony, and Victor, as well as a new Spotlight Scout featuring Gordie.

The new Solo Event, Severely Strained Relations will offer the ability to train with new Trainers from Galar. You’ll be able to obtain Event Vouchers C, D, and E as bonus rewards for fulfilling lineup bonuses, as well as take on special event missions. The event will be updated with new Trainers and rewards throughout the week.

Following his previous videos detailing development on Kirby’s Dream Land and Kirby’s Adventure, Masahiro Sakurai has released a new video on his channel providing a closer look at Kirby Super Star’s development.

Sakurai mentions that the game was created with two core ideas in mind; two-player simultaneous play, and an “omnibus” collection format. The first of these was actually something requested by Shigeru Miyamoto, who had apparently been wanting to implement two-player simultaneous multiplayer into the Super Mario Bros. series, but couldn’t find a way to make it work with the fast-paced nature of those games.

Several weeks ago, Did You Know Gaming? released a video providing details on a couple of cancelled spin-off games that Retro Studios (of Metroid Prime fame) had pitched to Nintendo for The Legend of Zelda series. Since then, they’ve managed to acquire new information on one of these two projects via an official 22-page document, a strategy game planned for the Nintendo DS titled Heroes of Hyrule.

The game would have featured a plot mostly exempt of Link, in which a young boy named Kori finds a book that, unbeknownst to him, was used to seal away Ganon 100 years ago. He would have gathered pages of the book unaware of its true purpose in order to learn more about the stories held within, which detail the adventures of a Goron, Rito, and Zora hero who venture to Ganon’s Castle in a effort to free Link from his evil clutches.

A new update for Fire Emblem Heroes has just been announced, and it’s set to arrive next week.

The update is set to provide changes for a whole host of events and features, including the Hall of Forms and Binding Worlds, Summoner and Memento Events. The lineup of Limited-Time Combat Manuals will also be updated, players will be able to refine a new set of weapons, Aether Raids will receive some updates and more.

The full patch notes for the Fire Emblem Heroes version 6.9.0 update are as follows:

Now that the Anniversary Tour is wrapping up, DeNA have announced that the Battle Tour will be the next event featured in Mario Kart Tour. As indicated by the name, this will be the first Tour to feature Mario Kart Tour’s Battle Mode, a new gameplay mode reminiscent of its main series equivalent. The Tour will offer GBA Battle Course 1 and GCN Cookie Land as the game’s first battle stages, and will provide new driver and kart elements as per usual. A new Green Mii Racing Suit will also be offered.
