Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 will be receiving a physical release in the west. This comes thanks to Inti Creates’ partnership with Limited Run Games.
Fans can pick up Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 either as a standalone release or a collector’s edition. The latter version includes a physical copy of the game, original soundtrack, 11 art cards, and a Lola Pod PVC Keychain.

FuRyu is delaying the release of Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers. In Japan, the game will now ship on April 14, 2022. It was previously dated for January 20.
FuRyu said today that it’s using the extra time to improve Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers’ quality. The company apologized to fans that have been looking forward to the game.

Bethesda is still churning out updates for its free-to-play Switch title The Elder Scrolls: Blades, with the game now at version 1.19 starting today. It features the return of the Winter Town and limited-time holiday bundles, a new Event Quest, and balancing to several existing Event Quests.

Sakurai says he’s been doing too much of the work himself on Smash Bros.

You can make the case that Super Smash Bros. is Masahiro Sakurai’s baby. He’s been there since the very start with the first entry on the N64, and since then, he’s directed every entry.
Going forward, it sounds like Sakurai would hope to have the development on Smash Bros. centered less around him. Speaking with The Verge, he mentioned that he’s “been doing too much of the work myself” and the series as it is “has too much of my personality poured into it.” For Smash Bros. to continue to succeed, he feels the need for the franchise to be about more than just one person’s vision.

Monster Sanctuary getting a physical release on Switch with collector’s edition

Limited Run Games is planning a physical release for Monster Sanctuary, the company announced today.
The boxed versions will come with a standard edition and collector’s edition. With the latter format, you’ll receive various bonuses like a Monster Journal art book and CD soundtrack.
Art of Balance is Europe’s next Switch Online Game Trial

Nintendo is gearing up for its next Switch Online Game Trial, which will be Art of Balance from Shin’en. Subscribers in Europe will be able to play through the title entirely for free starting on December 14. The offer lasts until December 20.
Like all Switch Online Game Trials, progress made in Art of Balance can be transferred to the full version. It’s likely that a sale will be happening soon as well.

Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has yet again commented on the future of the series – this time in an interview with IGN.
Speaking with the site, Sakurai stated:
